I was doing my daily morning sweep of the news and came across a series of absolutely beautiful Ramadan photos. Simply stunning. I wanted to show them to Hawk, but I figured you guys would appreciate these as well. Please take a look! They made my morning.

Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures with us. It’s interesting to see different cultures and religions and was a beautiful introduction for me into a culture I know very little about. Thank you again ~

Thank you so much for these images. I am a little isolated from the large Muslim populations right now so Ramadan hasn’t been what it usually is for me. These photos really help me remember the warm and fuzzies.

These are beautiful! I didn’t know much about Islamic tradition until my trip to Bahrain in April, and then meeting you guys in May. Even from a photographic point of view, these photos are visually stunning and very well-composed.. simply amazing.

Even though im not a muslim and hate large crowds someday id like to see some of these massive events in person. The pictures are amazing as they are, i cant imagine what it would be like in person. out of my three favorite cultures in the world, arab is one of them.

Beautiful and so cute. I love the pictures of the children. Especially the last one with the little boy passed out. Thanks for sharing Ananth. Ramadan Mubarak!

Ah those pictures are amazing! My family is all Muslim and I’ve always liked Ramadan, because it’s like a coming together of everyone, the unity is nice.
Oh Eid is soon. Yay (:

Thanks for sharing. I always appreciate learning about other cultures and religions, and this was a beautiful view of the traditions. I didn’t realize just how widespread Islam is (i.e., Thailand). It was really interesting to see the observation spread throughout different countries.

Those are indeed besutiful. I’m a united staes marine, I studied the culture and language for a year, and I won’t pretend to understand it all, but it is definitely outstading to see these, without hatred or profiling or war propaganda.

well in 17 it says sweet meat, so if thats to be true i would say some sort of lamb thats been glazed in a sweet sauce. in 32 the caption talks about sweets, to me it looks like colors and prolly flavored candied sugar. if u take enough sugar and mix in water, boil it and let it cool u can make a simple rock candy, but if u pull it and shape it while its cooling u can make a ton of pretty things.

Fantastic post. To quote Nick: “it is definitely outstading to see these, without hatred or profiling or war propaganda.” I agree immensely. Breath of fresh air given the media nowadays.
