I’m still alive, just really really tired. I’m also trying to catch up with work.
I’m still alive, just really really tired. I’m also trying to catch up with work.
Busy playing catch up, so I didn’t catch it while it was on the front page of his site – Sam Logan gave us a shout out in his blog over at Sam and Fuzzy, a comic many of you are undoubtedly familiar with. Actually, this AG Lite refers to the same turn of events … gather round children, and I’ll tell you a story.
We met Sam Logan a few years ago at SDCC, but only really got to get acquainted with him this past year at Connecticon, over bowling and pool. Hawk and Yuko and myself said to him, “Hey buddy, if you’re ever in DC, drop us a line – we’d be happy to put you up and show you around!” 3 hours later, we got a call from him – he got stuck at Dulles, so we got to make good on our offer. Yuko and I showed him around.
Let me tell you a few things about Sam Logan. First, the man loves IHOP. We were driving around looking for a place to eat, and he saw that squat blue building and he suddenly had saucer-eyes. We went in to eat, and (to our mild embarrassment) the place was decked out in thousands of tiny American flags, enough so that it might have been better named AHOP.
Second, Sam Logan is a funny, funny man. His wit is the razor edge of a hockey stick (although he did mention he didn’t care for hockey, so that metaphor is basically inappropriate).
Third, holy Canada does he love IHOP. Seriously guys, if you’re going to see him at a convention, take him pancakes. The how is up to you.
Sam Logan, if you’re ever in trouble, you know who to call. And if the Ghostbusters don’t pick up, feel free to give me and Yuko a call, we’ll be around too.

Cool article from Wired: Dieting as an RPG
Hey guys! So we’re back from Otakon, and as I’m sure you’ve gathered, we’re pretty wrecked!
I actually wanted to thank everyone who came by the table, whether you were someone who came by with kind words or food or if you purchased something to help support us! And also, thank you to everyone who congratulated us on the Dark Horse deal! When you tell us “congratulations” like our friends tell us congratulations, we know we’re doing something right. One and all, it was great to see you!
Shout-outs to a few folks – the guy who came by with the Mutagenics Abomination shirt, the guy who came by with cookies twice, the cosplaying family we’ve seen at many an Otakon (we finally got to meet the mother, it was very nice to meet you!), the shy Asian boy who thought Yuko was pretty hot (“A-awk … ward … “), the folks who interviewed us, the intrepid reporter from Japanator, everyone who came to our panel, Scarlett (Slaughter) and Miguel, Sebastian and Urkel, and anyone else who is slipping my mind right now – the weekend is a blur.
Also, a HUGE thank you to Rym and Scott of Geeknights as well as the rest of the Front Row Crew, without whom the weekend wouldn’t have been possible – basically, Applegeeks @ Otakon would have been pretty boned. Give ‘em some love! Alex, Jess, Kate, Adam, James, Lisa, Katsu, Emily, Pete, Scott J., Laura and everyone else, thanks for everything this weekend! :D
Man, I haven’t even mentioned all the comics folks we got to see this weekend, but I’ll be sure to get to it as soon as I can.
Back to catching up!
I’ll be doing a photoshop panel on Saturday at Otakon.
Panel 2 (Room 324-326) | 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Hey guys! We’ve printed a thus-far limited run of two new shirts and 3 new prints, which will only be available at Connecticon and Otakon for the time being! If they do well then we’ll see about getting them into the online store. :) We’ll also have our usual stuff – here’s a look at the new merch, though:

Back from Connecticon and I’m dead tired. Sadly I can’t rest, I need to prepare for Otakon, which is this weekend. I’ll be doing my first Otakon photoshop panel too.
