I just read that. It’s really interesting and makes me angry that some comic book companies don’t care about the creators, they just care about their own paychecks.

I read that a few hours ago and it was really interesting. Still, I found the tragedy of Superman’s creators at the hands of DC to be more interesting. Just goes to show that some of the greatest triumphs come from some of the greatest injustices. I mean seriously, only $130 for the creation of Superman? That’s plain evil.

Yeah…makes you think DC should have been a villain that Supes went up against…

I also read that. Very interesting article. The origins of superheroes are often more intriguing than the characters themselves. And no surprise to me how DC treated those guys. No surprise at all.

I thought the fatal robbery origin belonged to Batman…

Creator rights have changed a lot over the decades, seemingly at the same pace as Superman’s creators have gotten ever increasing rights and paychecks. I especially like what I think it was DC’s parent company sometime in the eighties or nineties did, paid the families of Siegel and Shuster some five figure amount, an executive being quoted saying they had no legal obligation, but certainly a moral one.

Back then they thought that that $130 was good. It was only once Supes made big money that they wanted more.
