There’ve been a lot of spelling/grammar errors in the past few comics, I apologize! As I’m sure you can imagine, it’s been a busy couple of days (weeks, even), and I think they’ve taken a bit of a toll on me. I’m taking some time to relax, but I’ll also make a point of proofreading a little more carefully - usually I’m pretty on the money, and I’m way too anal about spelling and grammar to let this slide. Just wanted to say I’d noticed!

If you need help, I’m an English not-quite-nazi. Are you guys gonna redo some of the pages with proper spelling and such for the published volumes?

If you see an error in a new comic, go ahead and point it out to me! That would be pretty helpful.

“pretty on the money”
Conjunction.
pretty money
on the ball

other possible combination: pretty ballin’

congrats, Ananth, you are a master inventor of english!

Hahaha, sometimes I forego entirely proper grammar for the sake of sounding colloquial or casual - but when I switch “way” for “weigh”, that is certainly unintentional.

Now, I’m norwegian, so I might be wrong. But the phrase “I’m too anal” strikes me as odd. Can the word “anal” really be used in this context and make sense?

PS: Honestly, I’m amazed that noone said “hur, hur, you said anal” yet…

yeah, like “anal retentive.”

Yeah, it’d def be usable in this context … you can thank Freud for that.

Anal as in analize, however using anal bring emotional meanings to give it a negative context… or something

Congrats on the Dark Horse deal guys it sounds like it’ll be a blast! But I feel I must warn you becareful to keep a fair amount of control. Most companies once they get a hold of something like this, they take over. And can easily squeese you two out leaving you with nothing but heart ache.

Actually, the thing is that they’re not at all involved with the creation of the comic. Dark Horse is collecting our completed material into a book and distributing it … they only asked for the right to print it. On Applegeeks.com, it’ll be business as usual (except for news about the book, obviously). As far as webcomics are concerned, Dark Horse does the smart thing and is content to print and distribute material that they know has a large audience by working cooperatively with the creators.

I like that your spelling and grammar isnt perfect to be honest. I’m a aspiring writer and I have terrible grammar so it feels good to see little mistakes if I do happen to catch them. Shows me you dont have to be perfect to be an awesome writer.

You can get away with grammatical errors at Vertigo comics, but not so much Dark Horse. If Vertigo or any other DC company buys up AG, Hawk could have official Batman and Endless cameo’s.
