After watching the new Spider-Man cartoon over the weekend, I was inspired to redraw Hawk and Eve as if they were from an animated series.

Fall 2050, eh? I’ll mark the calender… er, I would… if my calender covered the next 42 years. I’d rather have the series done in your art style, personally. You should get on that, now that you have a deadline!
I actually liked the new spider man. I was sure I wouldn’t but I did.
I love how Eve looks but…….your eyebrow scares me. If there was a kissing scene you would poke the girls eye out. Which makes it really funny too.

yeah I’m a huge fan of his work. Its awesome he designed the characters for the spiderman cartoon.

I like it. Reminds me of Sean Galloway’s art. Did he do Spectacular Spider-man? I know he did the character designs for Hellboy Animated.

I don’t care much for the art style, it has a lazy kind of feel to it lacking deail, but then most commercal animantions are. The “New Age” Cell art animation style has a way to go before it gains much quality.
I don’t really care for it but thats just my opinion.

Awesome art on this one, I’ve seen all the episodes of the new spidey series and to me it’s really good, not as spaced out as the ‘94 series, but still good. The only thing I’mnot used to seeing are skin like plates of…skin, on the forarms and albows of the characters. The series reminds of Ultimate Spidey!
I saw one episode online and another last weekend, I really like it. Now I have to get myself to wake up that early on a weekend.

Dang, Hawk, you’re catching hate over this one. Ignore ‘em, it’s a gorgeous pic. Experimenting and expressing in different styles it what art’s all about; you could do a run in crayon and it’d be sweet as long as you applied the same talent and time. Apropos of the animation thing; Fred Perry, though a workaholic, manages to do respectable lengths of animation by hand using some free tools. If you ever get the bug in your hat to try it out, there’s stuff out there that can turn your system into a little animation studio.
they can hate it all they want. they’re not paying me, so i’m not going to listen. i’m not going to sit here and draw the same thing (style) over and over. if they think that’s what artists do, they are mistaken.

Style changes are always a little hard to get used to, but it’s usually better for it in the long run. Keep challenging your artistic ability!
