Every once in a while I like to rag on CNN …

Can we get back to real news?

His ass isn’t just good.
It’s the best.
That’s some newsworthy shit there.
Are those space pants, Mr. Obama?
Because that ass is out of this world.
I also hear he has great shoes.
You should go tell him.
That’s the kind of thing I *expect* from Fox Noise. That CNN is wandering into their territory is, to say the least, both disturbing *and* annoying.
nah, Fox is too busy taking cracks at video games. CNN is all about fashion
Well at least Ansem Retort is taking all the cracks they can at Fox.
Read BBC News. It’s much better than CNN.
Amen … I use 2 or 3 news outlets at any one time.
OK. So, I can’t post messages with URLs in them… sure you’ll find BBC News yourself :)
If you want real new, why are looking at CNN in the first place?
That’s something I ask myself every day of my life … I read CNN, BBC, New York Times, and usually trawl Digg for everything else … haha, when I sit down to read the news it’s an all-out thing. XD
Just the fact that they actually used the word ‘tizzy’ is worrisome.
No kidding!
But getting back to the real news would require… being a Journalist and stuff. How dare you ask it of the press to uphold their title! :p

That’s a life-saver. Plus you can manage it for other countries. A bomb for me that lives in Sweden.
CNN = Cute Nothing News
CNN = Clinton News Network
Wait. He wears jeans?! That’s like totally unprofesional, and now me and my demographic (of ****ing morons) won’t like, you know, vote or him…
..or whatever.
Like totally.
>_< in other words, I share Ananth’s sentiment…
This is why I don’t bother with TV news anymore. I get my information from three sources: NPR, the local newspaper (the Honolulu Star-Bulletin), and the internet at large.
I particularly appreciate the use of Gotham in making the comment about Obama…
Hah, I love Gotham. I think it says a lot about a candidate’s attention to detail when he says his favorite font is one as classy as that one.
Yeah, I stopped paying attention to CNN a while ago. I only go there if something earthshattering happens (like the Myanmar disaster, which is MUCH more deserving of attention right now), or when I’m up for amusement.
My usual list of news sites includes Reuters, USA Today, BBC, NPR, Slashdot (yeah, yeah…), and on occasion the Washington Times.
Oh, and of course The Onion.
Earlier in the day, I forget which new channel because as soon as I saw the report I deemed Law & Order much more informative to my life, there was an urgent news report about a missing ring.
A MISSING RING.
JEWLERY.
Jesus Christ, I was sorely disappointed when I realized that Paris Hilton did not lose it because that would have made Earth logic. Apparently Jupiter logic is now the norm. Who knew?
Was it at least The One Ring?
Still better than our news, I guess. Our news is usually about a kitten stuck in a tree. Or once, a woman smoking pot with her toddler and getting to keep custody.
I’d so much rather hear about Obama’s nice ass in blue jeans. Psh.
While were on the subject of news has anyone noticed how it’s gone from good news to bad news and non stop politicle dribble.
It was only a matter of time. Remember when the press imploded on itself over Hillary Clinton for half an inch of mushy old-lady cleavage?
I sometimes admonish myself for not watching the news enough and keeping up with the times. Then I see things like this and remember why I don’t watch cable news.
i do wish they’d have included the make and model of jean in their report. i’ve been needing to buy a new pair and i do so want to be sure i’m rollin’ with the cool kids.
