It would seem we are in the same situation. I have the sneaking suspicion that cats know very well when we are the busiest and plot to deter us accordingly.

Heh–reminds me of someone I know complaining when he was trying to work around *his* cat. The cat started out by laying across half the guy’s mousepad…and over the next few hours progressively stretched out across more and more of it, until the poor guy was trying to use this little bitty space..
Well, look on the bright side. When you don’t wanna pet your cat, it lays on your computer. When I don’t want to pet mine, he beats the shit out of me until I decide that I was wrong.
He scares me…..

My cats do that to me all the time at home. When Boo was a kitten she would IM my friends while I was at work, and even managed to somehow copy an entire IM conversation, and paste it into an email to someone - which she thankfully never got a chance to send before I got home.
Guess house cats nowadays have a new type of mouse to chase after and eat - but he’s in for a surprise when he goes to the litter box the next day, lol.

Feh, Samkit does that to me whenever I try to work. Or he’ll sprawl out on my lap and start kneading. He only does that for work though. If I play a game, he doesn’t bother me. Elorg, we’re lucky kitties can’t type English in IM windows, as often as they mess with keyboards. ^_^
