Last night I sat down and created a simple photo viewer.
A simple project to familiar myself with Actionscript 3.0.

Very nice work Hawk
neato!
Nice one…
could use more fps tho, but it works pretty good.
Nice work Hawk. Did you do it all with CSS?
Maybe I should read before I write. Actionscript 3.0 seems to be worth buying.
I really like this one…
would you ever consider designing a photography site for someone (me)?
Pretttttttyyyyyyy. I’m trying to pick up Actionscript. Have you ever shared your .fla files to show others how you do’d stuff like this?
it’s awesome!
i like how the box changes shape.
Cool! Hee, Mookie…
nice watch! where can I get one?
It still weirds me out that you frequent the same places I do but I don’t think I’ve actually seen you.
“Actionscript 3.0 seems to be worth buying.”
Not when you can get it free (AND legal!). Well, that is if you don’t mind using a text editor and the command-line to make flash movies. If you don’t like doing things that way, you can pay for Flash CS3 (which sucks for coding), or pay for Flex Builder (who buys an IDE these days? Oh right, .NET programmers). Here’s the link to the free stuff (click the checkbox enable the download link): http://www.adobe.com/products/flex/downloads/
it works! so i say good job!
My only gripe would be to have an image counter to show where in the images you are.
Oh my gosh, Mookie’s hair has grown to become even more glorious! I like the photo viewer: it’s very cool :-D
Happy BIRTHDAY! And great job with the image viewer! :)
I like it. is it fed from your flickr account, or just a folder with images? Happy Birthday :)
I’m trying to get into actionscript 3 and I was wondering where you got the tutorial for the photoviewer. I’ll really like to have a play with that.
Would you be able to share a link to that tutorial? Please…
i didn’t use any tutorial, everything was created by me.
