Haha.

You should see the Apple Developer T's & C's. I can't say that Steve Jobs is a Nazi, but it reads like a Nazi party manifesto. As a developer you aren't allowed to say anything, and I mean ANYTHING bad about Apple.

I got bumped fromt he widget downloads pages because I said I'd written a workaround for an Apple bug.

Cretins.

Web browser wise, get Camino, I don't use FF or Safari. Especially a Flash player and Safari cause lots of app locking and crashing.

It'd be interesting to know what problems you're having and where the OS is crashing.

It's getting exchanged today. It died already. I took me hours to convince support I was not an idiot an it really was not working. They just kept saying that "Mac's don't crash" and I kept saying "Well mine did, and yes they do, in fact I no longer allow mac to be used by dj's on stage because they crash, once with Dj Keoki. It just happens" and they would basically act like I was hater and I had mistreated the poor thing and wouldn't help me. It was one of the worse experience I have ever had. Then they threaten to charge me 14% for the exchange, and I said "but its broken and won't work.." and they were like "well Macs don't crash, and if it works for us you will be charged the restock fee" I finally had to give in and I am taking it back. It just keeps crashing.
I really want to love it. I don't plan to work it hard or even install anything. I have lots of PC's at work I can use for work stuff. I just wanted it to browse the internet and watch movies. But even trying to turn up the volume cause it to freeze.

I had to use a PC to submit my Mac feedback form from the Apple store because Safari nor firefox could load the page script properly. It almost feels like Steve Jobs did all this as revenge for me calling him a Nazi.
I am pretty sure after they replace it I might be happy again. I really am excited. sorta.. still.

I do find it a trifle amusing when as a Mac lover I am moving back to PC as I've had enough of terrible Apple build quality. Seriously, 2 Macbooks in 18 months, 6 keyboard surrounds, a hard disk (with all my pictures of Tokyo <- feel free to laugh at the fool who didn't back up), a back light inverter, two screen surrounds, two power supply fires.

Then, Mac have the idiocy not to notify developers of the changes to WebKit affecting the widget platform and their recommended working on 10.5.

Go download news widgets on 10.5, the links mostly don't work as JS onClicks on divs are disabled - still it's fine on the latest version of 10.4.

Oh, and as for Apple service, "the store manager will call you back", I'm going to call him in 40 mins when the store opens as it's been 2 weeks since I asked him to get back to me.

Anyway, good luck with your Mac, it'll be interesting to know how you fair.

If you got into your system preferences under mouse/keyboard you can set your might mouse to have a right click or ctrl+click or if you have a macbook you can set it your touch pad to recognize you have 2 fingers on it then click the button and it will right click.
