Hey guys! I finally got these up!
You can see all of them over at my Flickr, but here’s a choice few.
I hope you like them!

Hee! Very cool!
I especially like the one of the temple courtyard - the green leaves contrast very well with the beige stone.
I see eyes. Pictures look awesome; hope you had a good time even though you weren’t feeling good.
Its hard to forget the natural and cultural beauty of this little part of the world, and i sincerely mean it, I was born and saw most of Pakistan before I moved out to Canada.
Wow…all those carvings. It’s so beautiful and all I can think is how long must it have taken to do all of that?
Great pictures!
Wow, they’re so beautiful!!
Sadly, I pretty much ignored them when I saw the camel.
Hahaha, his name was Micheal Jackson.
I thought he had a new face lift recently. It said so in the papers. (Still no improvement!)XD
Sweet pics Anath. Talking about this is one thing, but actually getting to finally see them is simply amazing. I can’t wait to see the rest.
I’m glad you like them, man! :D
Wow its really beautiful! :)
Love how they built the temple around the tree. Some very cool shots!
SNAKES ON A BASK–ER, IN A BASKET :p
Amazing pics Ananth. Like seriously awesome.
I am in awe of your camera… o_o
Your trip looked stunning!
Wow, looks like you had a great trip. I know it was elegant, but WOW. o.o
Hey i thought you sid you were sick. but i have to admit the pictures are dam cool.
Okay, you are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too close to that cobra, man.
Don’t worry if he does’nt aggravate it it won’t bite.
(SMACK)
Unlike my sister who justs randomly hits me. _0
Some amazing photos and the detail on the dome (the one that looks like lace) is unbelievable.
Is the seventh picture you without the hat? Sorry, I had to make that dumb joke xD
Krasno you are dum.lolXD
But in a funny way.
Year your right there. your ok =)
Wow, I love the one with you sitting among the columns. Not only is the detail on those columns exquisite, but you look quite serene (despite being sick).
I was pretty relaxed! It’s really a very quiet place.
I think you are asleep with your eyes open there.
Holy Crap! There is a face under the hat! :D
I envy you, Ananth. The furthest I’ve been out of the country is Algonquin Provincial Park in Canada. I did get to howl with the wolves, tho ;}.
wow, I’ve never left america before. I’d love to go out and travel. Also, your photography is awesome! I hope that onw day our lenses ca nhave sex and have a lovechild.
and by that i mean, I want to improve so that my pictures come out as great as yours. >.<
Getting the right equipment (har har) can go a long way. I’m not sure there’s really any replacement for a good DSLR. The one my family used to take those photos is the Nikon D40.
The pictures came out amazingly, I can’t imagine what the trip was like for you mentally. Going to places like that, particuarlly if they are part of your heritage, can do a lot for you emotionally.
Stunning photos, dude!
That is some beautiful architecture. Hope you had a good trip! (/jealous)
You must have travelled to another India then where I have been. Such empty places on the photos. The India I’ve been to was covered with LOTS of people.
That must have been Piccadili Circus. (You never can tell if your in Asai or Europe over there!)
These places are out in the middle of nowhere, half the time. The other half, a city has cropped up around the city or castle, in which case there are people everywhere down in the city, but not necessarily in the castle or temple.
doesn’t sound very organised to me but i gues it works for them.
We’re talking about castles that slowly grew to be population centers. Organization in the modern context has little to do with it - it used to be that cities appeared wherever there were seats of power. The castles have fallen out of use because the monarchies are gone, but no one is going to up and move a city now.
You have to step out of your own head and think about these things from different angles.
Great pictures!
… So… Did you buy a cobra then? XD
you have a kick ass camera! the pics are nice too.
Pretty sweet pictures man, you seem to have enjoyed yourself despite being sick, good job (this has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that once I went on a really cool vacation but got so sick there that when I grabbed a cab to get from a restaurant to a hotel I actually managed to pass out and fall of in the middle of an intersection… of curse not).
Holy smokes Ananth! Those are some incredible shots. What did you take them with?
A Nikon D40! My family all took turns.
You know, I’m always amazed at some people’s (and their sexy, sexy camera’s) photography skills. These shots are just about National Geographic quality.
I’m torn between the third, fifth, and last ones in terms of epic win. Bravo, and the place seems gorgeous…may have just been added to my list of countries/areas I’d like to visit one day.
Your pictures are amazing. The architecture is ridiculous! You’ve inspired me to try to study abroad there.
It can be a little tough, but it’s very fulfilling! Every time I visit is a growing and learning experience.
As long as you are careful about what you eat!XD
Hey Ananth,
I saw the mehndi design on your hand and I wanted to know how long it took to do it? The design looks very involved and nice.
Were? I don’t see it. Then again you probably got better eye sight than me.
It can be seen on flicker with the rest of the pics. :)
Man, they do it unbelievably fast. I’d say the design on my hand took 5 minutes, tops. There’s no other way to put it except that these guys are really professionals … I wish I had a video, it was just bam bam bam.
Wow, Ananth, absolutely amazing shots there. I envy you, I’ve always wanted to visit India, from your pictures, it looks even more spectacular than I imagined!! Some of those pillars and temples must have taken so long to build, let along carve.
Also, looking at your flicker, the rest of the pictures are amazing as well, and I admit, I had a geeky squee of pure joy when I saw the bats!
It sucks that you were sick, but in some of the pictures where it shows you you look quite serene, so I hope you enjoyed yourself, it looked like a blast!
It was a lot of fun! No regrets here! :D
Gorgeous photos, Ananth!
