I want to call BS on that, since that would most likely have been on every news station known to man.
It’s not BS, it /is/ on every news station that isn’t current obsessed with the elections.
Also note the CNN link and the fact that it’s not April 1.
His death sucks, he was an awesome actor. Personally I think it was an accidental overdose, but we won’t know anything until the coroner’s done in a few days.
Well, at the time I posted that I felt that it was BS, but now I see that it isn’t. Its crazy, he was only 8 years older then I am and they don’t know how it happened.
I heard it on the radio and I was quite stunned… and then thought you might have posted something here.
Was the Batman movie completed? It should be made in honor or memory of him now.

Those are sad news, He was a promising young actor, i hope his child and wife will do well. It doesnt really fit in here, but i think through this the new Batman Movie will be an gigant boxoffice hit because everybody would want to see Heath in his last ( and maybe best) Role. Rest in Peace Heath!
He was never married, he was going to but broke it off.
It wasn’t his final movie either, he did a role in one called “I’m Not Here” as well just before his death.
Also, wonder why he was found on the floor of Mary-Kate Olsen’s apartment?

Sadly enough he was my favorite actor! I am so surprised that he died at such an age. ::tear::

The strange thing is that Brad Renfro died a week ago from today. Odd coincidence.

It is on every news station. I didn’t believe it. I’m still hoping that this is just some sort of elaborate hoax, viral marketing gone too far, but it seems incredibly unlikely. Man. What a bummer.

dark knight is currently post-production, but he was filming “the imaginarium of dr. parnassus”. nobody’s said anything about how his death is going to affect anything.
I hope that they weren’t too far into production… the movie premise sounds excellent!

Crazy, isn’t it. Everyone was looking forward to seeing him in the new Batman. Such a tragic ending to such a young life. I can’t imagine what his 2 year old daughter will go through now.

Its sad how many people are commenting about the movie and if it will still go on…HE DIED….get a grip a Woman and Child have lost someone and some of you care about the movie…sick truly sick.
well before i get like major comments i would like to say that i did not believe it at first but im sad to know that it is true…though im still hoping its not. Another Great Actor, and person gone from this earth.
Heath Ledger You Will Be Miss…
People die every day. Lots and lots of them. And they leave relatives behind too. They don’t mean terribly much to me personally (otherwise I’d be here crying all day), so I don’t see why he should either. His only significance to me was the movie, so the movie is what I care about.
But you know, go feel your moral outrage. Whatever works for you.
ya, I gotta agree with Elithrion. He was an actor and his job was to entertain us. That was his importance to us. We are allowed to feel sorry for what happened, but since most of us never make a personal connection with these people, its harder to worry about the lives of their relatives and we would focus more on project they were part of. Sorry it happened to him, but We just want to konw if Dark Knight will still be released, it’s the first question some of us ask.
Meh…still doesnt justifiy the carelessness of others…i even if you didnt know him personally and i dont think anyone here does, we have known him through his movies..and to know that he was so young and had a lot going for him…its sad…

Look, He either killed himself (so it was his decision and i feel no pity), or he died of a natural unknown cause (whereby nothing could have saved him at that time). So he’s dead. We can’t make him rise from the dead. We can say, “Oh that sucks, doesn’t he have a movie coming out, I hope its good cause it would suck to leave with a movie like knights tale about to drop.” Not that it was a bad movie…

I was stunned and shocked to learn about his death. Like a few other people, I didn’t believe it when I first read the information from a friend’s journal. Then I found several articles on several sites. Sad. He was an excellent actor, and way to young to go this soon.
It’s a little surprising how many people immediately assume that if it was a possible drug overdose, then he must have killed himself. That the money and fame was too much for him.
Give the guy some credit. For all we know he had a condition he didn’t know about, or that the stress he puts himself through with his roles (especially the Joker, for example) finally took a toll on him physically. Being an insomniac actor can really wreck your immune system.
I’m rather surprised how affected I am by this. It really is a sad time. My thoughts go out to his family.
i found that surprising as well, of course thats all in the news “Ledger found with pills”….e.e sicking they could be allergy medicine for all we know.
He said in a recent interview — I don’t have the source — that after playing the Joker, he was having trouble sleeping, and that even with Ambien he was only getting 1 or so hours a night.
If he’s THAT messed up from the Joker, then at least we know he was dedicated to that role… dayum…

I feel a sense of loss knowing that he will not be around to do the kind of pictures that we all knew he was capable of. What a wonderful actor to be taken in such a manner.

What a bum situation. From what I knew he seemed to be one of the hollywood types that seemed to have their head on straight. He will truely be missed by all :(

I was sooo sad when my friend told me yesterday. It’s such a shame to see that happen to someone so young.
Yah, what gets me is that it may have been a freak accident. The today show said he had pneumonia and that if you take sleeping pills it can kill you. The theory is it generates a situation like what killed Superman.

er herm. 27 American troops and 394 Iraqis whose profession is to fight, kill, possibly die. Theres no possibility of bewilderment about the timeliness or manner of death. Only about the motivation to fight at all.

. . . I’m not looking to argue. I learned about Ledger’s death from the front page of Tim Buckley’s webcomic, read the article, and came straight here to see how you all were doing. It is another death to add to the many that have happened, and will happen, and yes, it is one that impacts many.
Love and healing to those who are grieving over the loss of yet another wonderful person.

Either way, it’s a serious loss. I really liked Heath’s work; even the stuff that wasn’t amazing. And I feel like he was beginning to find his performance niche at long last. I mean he took on the Joker for a role, which isn’t an easy one to nail. Farewell Heath, may the afterlife treat you well.
According to the most recent sutff, the housekeeper found him snoring at 1 pm, then later he was dead. It was a total accident…
