If you updated your iPhone/iPod Touch, you can now save bookmarks onto your home screens (yeah, now you can have more than one). I created an icon for our website. So, if you create an AG home screen bookmark, you will automatically get a Hawk icon. =)

That’s fine for you iPhone folks but us poor cousins with the iTouch have to stump up real money for this stuff. Boo to Steve, I say. Free the iTouch!

Isn’t this new feature freely available with the iPhone only and is a $20 upgrade for existing iPod Touch owners? Or was that for the apps that originally shipped with the iPhone and not the Touch?
Free for iPhone, $20 for iPod Touch. Apparently, iPhone is considered a “subscription” product so the update for it is free while you have to pay for it for the Touch. But really, don’t think 20 bucks is a lot to ask for it. But I have iPhone so I don’t pay anyway =p
Just to say, im probably one of the few UK iPhone owners and Hawk is now taking pride of place on my main screen next to my iTunes icon.

I am in the UK as well owning an iPhone and loving every minute of it, admittedly i have yet to update it, but being a total (insert random naughty word here) for fasionable webcomics such as Applegeeks, PA, CtrlAltDel, im sure ill be making a homescreen dedicated to all of these wonderful comics,,, later on tonight!! ;-)

Wait… as a comment on the MacBook Air. What is this, a proof of concept that’s for sale? Solid state technology is still not ready for prime time (this makes a mac more expensive than a windozer again). And why are the Apple TV, Airport Express, and the MacBook Air the only Apple products without giga-bit ethernet?

Airport Express, isnt that a wireless adaptor for the phone line to make the internets all ‘wireless’ like?
and on a Mac Air,,, who cares its just damn fine, and the extra size of a port would make it fat,, and we certianly dont want that.
Thar be nothing wrong with solid state just means ya can drop it a little more and it wonk break,, not that you would ever drop your mac, I personally would jump under it to cusion the fall onto glass, spikes lions and acid all mixed together.. as long as the Mac survives ;-)
Apple TV isn’t a TV receiver its a means to share your iTunes library with your TV. Which means you would want to transfer large files (Movies and TV shows) at maximum speed… i.e. Gigabit Ethernet. You also might want to maintain the same high standards across the entire product line.
The Airport Express is a very simple wireless base station/extender. It makes sense to be able to link it to your network backbone at the highest possible speed (i.e. Gigabit Ethernet) and to not lose bandwidth if you had to connect through the ethernet port (100BASE-T is slower than 802.11g or n). And finally every computer Apple sells has a Gigabit Ethernet port except the MacBook Air. Given the form factor does not allow an onboard ethernet port and the port is provided via dongle, why is it only 100BASE-T and not 1000BASE-T (which would have to connect via a proprietary connector or a FireWire port instead of USB).

Ok. This is nice. But i pissed of a bit after keynote. I just bought my new iPod Touch, and I can’t update it’s software - to be more specific - I can’t buy january software update from Croatia because there is no iTunes store in Croatia. Has anyone some idea how to get this new apps, is it possible to get it form someone who already bought those apps for touch?
Just to say that I’m rather new to Mac world, I got my MBP just 3 months ago, and I’m impressed with it. But this made me a bit angry.
p.s. No. I don’t want to jailbrake my touch. It’s good the way it is, or with those new apps.
?????? iTunes is software. and works if your connected to the net, think it is an online update thing that you pay for like a song only more expensive! then again I dont own a touch so i dont know! but i figured it was online so there is no reason for you not to be able to update!

Additionally, no you cant use someone else’s stuff from their iPod Touch. I would imagine on a basic level that its encoded onto the Touch’s serial number as soon as you buy it…. meaning 1 per person kinda thing!

I have two little Hawk’s on my iPhone! One for AG, and one for AG Lite. I love the way all the icons start to wiggle lol. Seriously, I read alot of webcomics, and so far, of all the comics I read, only this comic and PvP have created icons for the iPhone. Other sites should follow the example.
Actually they have,,, posting this on iPhone BTW the only icon I’ve had to make is CAD!! This is by far the best update for both platforms I have ever seen,,,,,,,, I’m not bias xD
