You better finish it; most of us consider it a capital crime to leave a calzone halfeaten.

We are watching you.

Calzone —> in spanish means (almost — calzon, calzones) female underwear.
And by the size of that thing, that was a big woman.

sorry dude, but you are totally wrong about that. The name “Calzone” has it’s origin in the italian words for stockings (calza) and/or trousers (calzoni).
remember: we are talking about pizza here so use the italian language as reference…
dammit, i’m freakin hungry now.

lol… it didn’t meant to be ‘food’ related, just a coincidence of letters, like the word in english ‘once’ means ‘eleven’ in spanish.

;)

oddly enough, the closest word to calzone in french would be “calçon” which mean men’s undewear basically, I sense a pattern…

I think the food’s trying to tell people to buy new underwear. After eating that much, you’d need new undergarments.

All those words come from the Latin “calcea” meaning stocking. It later changed into trousers, underwear, etc.

Oh gods, that looks absolutely delicious. One of the many downsides of working overnights/being up at all hours of the night is that there’re hardly any places open to gnab food. So alas its a homemade pasta dish and sausages for me tonight.

I’m sad to say that I’ve never tried a Calzone. However, based on the response here, it sounds good so I should give a whirl. I love your response to eating the whole thing. I’ve felt like that sometimes eating at a buffet or something like it.

Nothing like a carbo-wrapped cheese ‘n sauce-induced coma to pass the afternoon. Now all you have to do is find a warm rock to curl up on and bask.

wow.. i think that would double my body size, and take my body weight up to 125% of current standings… (ok maybe only 104%.. but still that is 4% body gain from one meal!)

Dear god. I live in Japan right now, and a foodstuff of that size is impossible to find here. And this being Japan they’d probably stuff it with all manner of unforgivable ingredients like “sausage” (which in Japan is glorified hot dogs) and mayonnaise (they have mayonnaise pizzas here. Not just on top of the pizza, but instead of tomato or cream sauce).

I know you probably regretted it afterward, but I envy you, man. I envy you.

Mayonnaise on pizza? well, if that isn’t a good reason to stay the fuck away from japan then there will never be one.
