Wow, I didn’t know they made a pilot for a live action Justice League America TV show. This was back in 1997 I believe. After watching this clip, I can see why it crashed and burned.

y on earth would u even think of putting that where people can see it hawk lol. that is just evil i mean come on
So you can feel my pain as well.
it was the most painful thing my eyes have seen today
At least you can see! I’M BLIND BECAUSE OF THAT!
ya know…kinda makes me reallize that the Green Lantern was probably one of the most lazy super heroes lol. At least that video made it seem that way
“hmm, that pepsi can seems to be out of my reach, good thing I have this ring”
“seem to have lost the remote again, good thing I have this ring”
etc.
“Havn’t gotten any in a while, good thing I have this ring”
That’s almost as bad as the old The Fantastic 4 movie.
….what. the. hell.
ahhh my eyes, thats it im trashing my comics of F4
….yeccchhh. XP Reminds me of the live-action Sailor Moon promo I saw on Toonami Arsenal a while back. I needed brain bleach after that one.
..and not the live action Sailormoon that ended up being made in Japan. This was in English. Euuugh.
That… that was…. I mean…. That… .. ….. oh….. my… O.o My Greenlantern has been turned into and idiot…
What that the frick’n Green Lantern show? “Hey, that old Flash show with the foam pecs did alright, right? And Superman and Lois, well, that was just good Television! Can’t put him in tights through, that’s been done…aw snap, there’s more then one of these guys! Hey, this one even has a jacket! Make it out of green latex…ooh! and take that cool looking mask, the old one won’t grab the kids…and bam, gentlemen, we have a show! Alright, next; live-action Jem and the Holograms, only Jem is a drug addict to her holograms! Go!”
Work blocks youtube so I can’t see the clip, but I have this… whoever made my bootleg copy of the 1994 Fantastic Four movie (that everyone pretends never happened) added that pilot as an opening feature. Pray you never see the costume they gave the Atom, it makes the GL suit look reasonable and subtle.
…on second thought, it’d be even better if you never see that ‘94 FF movie, it makes the JLA tv pilot look golden….
I saw that once on tv, is as bad as it looks.. but not as bad as that FF4 that was ‘never’ released, but close.
Well, I recognized Miguel Ferrer as the villian…
0_0 No way! Totally did not see that. I was blinded by teh awful.
Well, I’ve seen enough awful in my time that I can get past it and notice the details. :-)
Thank goodness, I thought that you were serious for a moment!
you never knew!I saw it a while back, it really burned, REALLY BURNED!
the justice league(kinda) on smallville are so much better
This didn’t fail, this crashed and burned!
LOL @ green lantern’s l33t ping-pong ball foiling powers!
Wow. Just…wow. That made me sad…
Oh, my… It’s like the actors didn’t even bother to try. Bad costumes, bad effects, bad writing; it was doomed. Not to mention casting Superheroes is so difficult. You can’t get just anyone to be the Flash.
I’ve seen stills of this show before, but never in action. Just one more bad 90s show that thankfully never made it to air.
Why was it raining ping pong balls, and why was the chick afraid of them? That’s the bigger question here.
Haha, that was my first thought too. I think it was supposed to be hail.
Yep, it was “hail”. I thought TV execs were dumb, but I never thought they’d be stupid enough to think that the best way to introduce superheroes to the public, was to pit them against the freakin’ Weather Wizard!!??
…oh wait…. dear god, no, “The Weatherman”, a Weather Wizard knockoff. Could you get any worse than that?
It was ‘Ice’ who has not fully manifest her powers, at least that’s what I remember.
Ow… this hurt my comic nerd pride…
Oh yeah, saw that awhile back when I was reading up on the JLA via Wikipedia articles. Pretty strange stuff. Still boggles my mind why it’s so hard to just stay true to superhero mythos in live action. If we can make giant robots digitally, why is it so hard to keep a character in . . . well character?
I actually saw the hole movie there was nothing to do or see and it suck I had nightmares, that reminds me there was a flash series back then the costume was ok but didn’t like the story line.
AAAARRRGGGGGHHHHH!
MY EYES! THE SOUP DOES NOTHING!
DAMN YOU HAWK! DDDAAAMMMNNN YYYOOOUUU!
i wanna see this series
