haha. And now we learn how it’s done, in six easy steps!
And by six easy steps, I mean six easy steps…for people who can draw (like Hawk).
Nice comic. :P

That’s pretty cool. I always enjoyed looking at the creative process of others and seeing how it’s done.
Are the blue lines drawn in pencil and scanned into Photoshop? Or was this all done in Photoshop? Isn’t blue pencil supposed to be invisible to scanners or something?
If scanners couldn’t see blue, it would be a problem for photos….. :)
I think you’re talking about photocopiers…
done in photoshop.
I think I like the finished product without the word bubbles better. It makes it that much more random. No explanation for any of it. ;D
Is this AG lite a true story?
I’ve always been on the Hawk side of this kinda thing…
I think the blue is a holdover from the old days before computers. Everything had to be pasted up by hand and then photographed with a huge 1 to 1 camera, then burned onto a printing plate with uv light. They used to call it non repro blue. There I justed dated myself.
Yep. I keep having to train my 5-year-old out of this kind of thing.
Hey Hawk.
I have a question, how long does it take, on average, to do an AG lite?
Less than 30 minutes… sometime less than 15 minutes.
OMG thats incredible, I SOOOO envy you -_-’
Hi thats is cool and the idea very funny. But how do you create the panels.
Pen and ruler… XP only joking, I have no idea!
You changed how Hawk’s expression is in the last panel, maybe a change of heart?
the blue sketch is a VERY rough idea what i want.
the panels were created using the rectangle tool.
If you don’t mind my asking what programs/hardware do you use? I was thinking wacom tablet in cs2 but anyway instead of sitting in envy I’d rather take steps to improve myself. Thanks for your time.
Mac Pro, Wacom Cintiq, and Photoshop CS 3.
Hey Hawk, How long have you been using Photoshop? Because what you are doing with it is amazing. I wish my skills with were half as good as yours. XD
Since 3.0 I guess.
Wow… I’ve only been using it since 6.0. And I’m not even that old.
