Jeez, I know, I hate those applications that you don’t even add to your page, that notify you anyway. No better than spam with flashy icons.
i whole-heartedly agree. the facebook applications have become annoying to the point i don’t check it until i get a notification through email– in fact, i’m ready to delete my account.
Would you object to some of us using that image on our facebook profiles?

You won’t have to see those pesky facebook apps on ANYONE’s profile (Unless you turn it off, or let some pass the filter)

Holy crap, thank you for mentioning that. I just did a quick bit of testing with it and it’s very nice. That thing is a keeper.
I don’t mind applications because I like a little flashiness. But the fact of the matter is, I add the applications myself after finding them. The invitations are irritating and I’m sick of them.
If someone’s made a group with that as the main picture, I’m so in.
I’m anti-app. The only things I have are the ones that FB started out with, except for courses (which they mysteriously removed).
You don’t know how much I sympathize with you. Applications should have to have an “always reject” option.

That’s exactly how I’ve always felt about the apps. I almost deleted my account last summer because them.
For some reason, my friends all seem to like them. Their profile pages are covered in stupid little apps that just clutters everything and makes it impossible to find their walls.
Oy.
I also loathe these “applications”.
I have a few but I find most apps annoying and I hardly use them.

yeah that sucks…i only add them if my friend Sean sends them to me…i know thats a bit odd but if he likes them and sends them my way then i know thier pretty cool or stupid funny….:shrugs: thats just me though.

You know you love those crappy apps like superwall, pirates vs. ninjas, zombies, movie quotes, bestest friends, favorite movies, super graffiti, movie quiz….etc. Without them facebook would be a whole lot cooler, and noboby wants that. :P
Applications are just another way for the CIA to gather more of your information!!

ok while there are a few cool apps….. i totaly agree that inviting and all those spammy “games” get reeeeeaaaallllyyyy annoying….

I do believe you can block invitations from apps that you have been invited to…it’s somewhere in notifications, I think.
I’m making that pic my profile picture now. I used to think some of the apps were ok in the beginning, but now they’ve gotten out of hand now.
Yet another reason I’m not on Facebook, or MySpace, or other.

funnily enough i can’t even find that bar on my FB o_o;… i only seem to get to all the invites etc if someone ’s me and i get the email with the link: and find like 50 invites to other random things o_0
If you click on the name of the application, at the bottom right of the page, there is a link that says “block this application.” You will never see or hear from that application again. Ever. Then if you don’t want to see any applications on a friend’s page, just click the arrow on the left to minimize it - this will minimize the app so you never see it on anybody’s profile. Hope this helps.
The only app I have is graffiti (cause I like when my friends draw me things) :)

I am ashamed to say that I wasted around 15 minutes with those things earlier today…
I was ever so bored…
I ignore them and more come…I give up and just accept them but MORE STILL COME!!!! Why?! Why do people make those things?

Those facebook apps get to annoying the HELL out of me. Serriously, one of my fave AGLight strips is the FB Apps are Breeding one. XD
The newest irritant for me is the “Who is into you” app.
I’ve added quite some FB apps now, and over half of them just sit there and don’t do anything unless I do something to them first. BOORING!!! So, I’ve stopped adding them. Anoying buggers.
