Yeah, My mom used to do something similar for me and my sibs when we got broncitous, Flu, or Cold.

Note.:The following procedure you will need a bathing suite and someone to help you with, someone you trust, and someone that won't take advantage of a chance to prank you. WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T ATTEMPT IT ON YOUR OWN!! For safety sake. And not the best Idea if you are pregnant or have a heart condition.

1.)run a hot bath while increasing the temperature,

2.) and while we were in the bath made us drink hot tea(best results if its a non-caffeinated tea) by the quarts,(mom'd say if it didn't pour out your ear you hadn't had enough :-P )usually 4-6.

3.) then after you're your head starts to go light and your vision starts to go black around the edges, they help you out of the tub and rap you in a sheet that has been soaking in very cold water, usually Ice-water.

4.)then have the person helping 'Mummify' you in 5-7 heavy blankets(and an old one you don't care about next to you and your iced sheet) for about 1 1/2 hrs.

Now to explain what happens: the hot bath and the tea is to raise you body's core temperature, while the Iced-sheet is to increase circulation getting the blood moving creating a false fever which helps to kick your body's defenses into overdrive speeding up the process by weeks! and about the tea as long as they do a good job of 'Mummifying' you and you say put, you won't feel the urge to piss, because you'll be sweating most of it out through your pores.

Get well soon! ;-D

P.S. to the Run-on-sentence Nazis: Sorry today isn't my best day in awhile. :-)
