Hey guys, Hawk’s been working his ass off over the weekend and for the past three days to get a project out the door … no comic! Sorry! Life intrudes again. :/

Hmm…wasn’t there a time when Hawk was actually 1-2 comics ahead? What happened to that gap, man? Couldn’t you put up like a guest strip or a guest artist to while away the days when Hawk’s really cramped? I kinda liked the last guest artist.
Life is what took over the gap
And sometimes arranging guests artists on Spur-of-the-moment isn’t easy.
I mean, they have lives too ~_^

i think we all understand im a college student life always gets in the way of what i want to do. but man what bad timing i really what to know what happened and with ramadah (i think hawk partakes in it for lack of better words) its got to be really tough for him poor guy HANG IN THERE YOU CAN DO IT!!
Meh it happens. Not like he’s a robot after all. Some people would’ve stopped bothering a long time ago so it’s good. It also seems that he has an understanding audience so there shouldn’t be need for concern in that aspect at least. Good luck man and try to take it easy when you can, Hawk.
We all know Hawk is human.. Besides, there’s cool rough art up. I like it.
It’s ok to take a break once in a while, I’ve tried something similar and I found it impossible to stick to a schedule. (Once a week updates become a bi-annual affair, etc.)

I do expect that to happen i mean you guys do have jobs and friends and family you need to be with, And you have always posted great comics that we all love. Im kinda glad Hawk wasnt able to put one up i kinda like the rough draft of Mista Bear and Ashley.

There’s really not that much we can complain about, I mean, you give us this comic for free. You guys can take as many breaks as you want, I wouldn’t complain.
i second this notion, its free do what is needed to be done.
Clearly, Hawk needs a clone to ease the workload.
Bwahahahaha!!! We have the technology! We can make him faster, better, harder, stronger!!! Though I’m not too sure a clone would be able to learn quick enough to emulate Hawk’s style… It’s one of those things you have to learn.

I have an idea for you guys, Why not ask for some guest comics for the soul purpose of making a little ‘backup pile’ so when real life interferes, no problem! Keep the writhing masses of fanboys (and girls) satisfied with insta-guest strips! only $0.00 each! stock up now!
But really, I don;t get why comics don’t just keep a few extra guest comics around for times like these.
Why is it that people complain about not getting a comic. When even though Both Hawk and Ananth have projects and lifes they put up Something and a blog to apolgize, that people dont seem to care?. Do you run a web comic do you have thier job. maybe if you get one you wont be so depended on others.

We get this comic free and that among other things like Apple and random updates that we actually look at so i mean your more then just a web comic and for some people just to not understanding that you guys are not teenagers your Adults with lives is kinda messed up.
Excuse me? I believe you misread. I did not complain about lack of updates, I made a suggestion how to smooth over updates and keep on rollin like nothing happened.

You do realise that having a guest comic also entails having a guest artist to draw it.
While Ananth may have the script produced, someone would still have to draw it, AND be notified within a decent amount of time AND be willing to draw the comic. While spur-of-the-moment guestcomics are alright for non-story based comics, it doesn’t work so well in a story-based comic.
I’m just… really perplexed as to how you think that would supposedly work. You can’t just draw anything and be able to ‘plug in’ any text you want in it and it actually… work.
Whew. I saw the ‘meh’ and thought “Oh, no!” Glad to know that was just a “no brainpower left” sort of ‘meh’ rather than “Applegeeks is boring, going to do something else now.”
You guys take it easy. I’m in my last semester of grad school; more than once lately I’ve said “Meh” to a lot of things. =P

Poor guy. He deserves a break. I mean, some artists have trouble once a week with just black and white, but Hawk actually bothers to add the pretty colors. :) Thanks, Hawk-san! (and where would an artist be without a writer? You too, Ananth-san.)

By the way, I keep thinking you’re not allowed to eat any type of meat during Ramadan (is that how it’s spelled?), but you are allowed to eat SOMETHING when the sun is down. I don’t know, sounds a lot like Easter. Not like I follow that at all…
