He can go to vegas with the money if he wants, as long as we get an AG Lite out of it. By the way, there’s a guaranteed sale right here as soon as I see the eve figures in the store.

Hey Hawk, congrats to that selling success.
But I have to go with the previous comments:
Will you offer to buy them online? Coming over to Otakon from Germany to buy a figurine simply was to costly ;)

I think it’s safe to say that we all hate everyone who attended Otakon.

Except for maybe you two… maybe…

Indeed I am in the same boat here. And I always buy Hawks new toys at cons! I bought a number of the shirts and things from the AG online store long ago, and a bunch more from the M3g4G34r site.

I’m sure he’ll offer them online eventually. The ones that got sold at Otakon are good collector’s items with the mis-spelled wording on the packaging. Keep ‘em close!

Well, if she does go online and’s sold through Megagear then it’s probably pretty hopeful on the Aussie thing *is praying that he’s correct*

Fingers crossed.

Since the Eve figurines are selling so well will there be any plans in the future to create any other figurines based on the applegeeks comics?

Comment by NKato
2007-07-23 14:03:09

it seems possible, but I think they are going to stick with Eve for now due to the ardous process of crafting new figures (it requires steps from pre-concept to final product, which can take months).

500 eve figurines in all, that’s quite a limited run. If the money is coming in real good, then that means they might start selling a standard version for a larger audience. Who knows….

that’s my brother and I in the last one. I think we were number 22 or 23. Anyway, I was on of the first few into the dealers room that day and the line was already rather long. It was so amazing that the line formed so fast. I think i waited in line for the dealers room to open at 10 since around 9 that morning, when the convention center first opened. But totally worth it.

Hawk & Ananath:

Thank you SO much for being so laid-back and receptive to conversation! It was a real privilege to not only be the first on the line, but to shake both of your hands. I hope I can meet you guys again, attend one of Hawk’s Photoshop workshops, and talk to Ananth more about writing.

P.S. I’m the second picture.
