Before I left for ConnectiCon last week, I mentioned I had some really big news. Well, I think these photos will explain everything.

Photos taken by Gensen.

We will have a limited run of Eve figurines at Otakon this weekend. Yeah I know, another con. hehe. After Otakon, we will work on getting the figurines online.

Similar to last year, we will be sharing booth with Megatokyo in the dealers room. We will not be in the artist alley.

Oh my word… That’s awesome. Again, gratz on the figurine. It is very awesome makes me jealous in ways I’ve never known before.

So.. pricing? I can’t be at Otakon to find out myself. Eventualyl, I would like to be a proud owner some day, though.

Wow, looks very nice. When will we see the Tiger-Hawk-in-a-Ball figurine?

And this is bugging me just a little…is it just me, or does that say “AUDLT COLLECTIBLE…”?

Consider it a way to prove you have one of the first run units. :-) Runs $value = $value++.

guys, the japanese misspell english words all the time on their products. just as i imagine we misuse japanese characters on some of ours.

I would agree if it wasn’t standard in the packaging industry for the customer to review and approve the final packaging concepts.

Not entirely blaming Hawk or Ananth… and I don’t know if they ‘did’ have the chance to review the packaging first… but it’s at least partly their fault it’s not spelled correctly.

Regardless, as I mention above, it’s an interesting way to denote first run product from later run product and could turn this early packaging into collectible material.

noooooooooooo..

why the hell is it at the ONE con that’s close enough to take by car but still so far that I CAN’T go by car?! I’d go to otakon… but I have no form of transportation from northern VA to there! THE HORROR!

PLEASE tell me you’re planning to release it on the online shop! PLEASE!

If you can make it to DC or Annapolis then public transit is just about as fast as a car would be to the Inner Harbour.

Enjoy.

O_O Sweet…I want one! :) I’m gonna have to get one some how. I got a couple of questions though, if they sell good…do you think you would be able to add them to the MegaGear store, please… :D or is this really one of those one time things? And my second question, in the first picture I noticed something. I seen that they all have different color squares by her foot, on the left. What does those mean?

Comment by GrinningArmor
2007-07-22 06:16:05

I’d bet those squares are actually little hologram stickers (maybe a seal of the manufacturer?), that’s why they look like they are different colors in the picture.

Hawk, You TEASE! The goods are displayed, we get all worked up and polish the racing stripes on our charge cards in anticipation but noooooooooooooo, not available to us schmoes yet…that’s just plain evil!
Can’t hardly wait! Got a spot for Eve on my ‘bot shelf, right next to Robby (who’s right next to Robot Maria…which will make him the luckiest robot in the multiverse when Eve moves in). Bender and the Cybermen are already jealous…
