So I woke up 4 A.M, packed up and went to the airport. I landed in VA around 7:30am. From the airport I came straight to work. I’m so dead right now. I did get some sleep on the plane but I woke up with pain in my neck.

Oh yeah, if you’re wondering, today’s AG Lite comic is true, it did happen. That is all I’m going to say about that.

ConnectiCon was fun as always, I’ll be posting pictures of the weekend later in the day.

Holy Crap! The fact that someone actually threw change is absurd! The fact that they could have hit you in the eyes is dangerous, and security should have removed them from the convention without refund. The fact that your defense is for your Mac is honorable… but I think I’d be more worried about your eyes.

But that’s me.

Karma will sort that person out. They’ll likely be crushed by a safe.

In all seriousness whoever did that is a jerk and makes the rest of us fans look bad but at the same time I’m glad you didn’t go on a tangent and start insulting your fanbase unlike some other web comic artists. Although I didn’t go to a con this year due to monetary restrictions. I do respect your course of action. Turning an asshole’s antics into something creative. Please don’t turn into this guy…(cad-comic.com)

I pretty much kept my cool and kept on doing the photoshop panel. I had to pause for a moment due to the pain. But I didn’t yell at him or anything. I accepted his apologize at the end of the panel and went on my way.

Wow. I would probably have just stopped, quietly packed up my stuff and left. The perpetrator would have then ended up getting the fury from the rest of the audience who were there to actually learn something…

If someone threw anything at me that wasn’t soft and harmless while I was around my Mac… there would be problems.

But seriously, people just seem to lack both common sense and respect now-a-days. Its appalling what people see as ‘okay’. Anyway, I hope that you’re okay and that nothing serious happened.

I suppose it’s good that he apologized, but he should have been thrown out of the building and banned from ever comign back. You don’t that, ever.

O.o Someone actually threw a dime? wtf? I think if I had been able to attend that panel (was still waiting in line outside) then that would have peevd me off. I have alot of respect for you and Ananth, giving us an awesome comic in your own time, and seeing people disrespect you like that isn’t something I would take lightly. Anywho, you seemed to be having fun when I saw you, so I’m glad it didn’t effect you throughout the rest of the con. It was my first con, and I had fun, I got to meet plenty of awesome artists and offered some cookies. XD

I think it was jealously, so I can see why you let it slide. The prick still should’ve been removed.

It seems weird that someone would throw a dime and then appoligize…. huh. Did you at least find out why?

I hope things like this don’t happen often, last thing we need is extra security.

Let me guess… some kid/immature guy with no common sense thought he was being funny? At any rate, way to keep your cool. That isn’t easy. Just glad you didn’t get seriously hurt.

I probably would’ve gotten pissed and said “People, tips are supposed to be given at the END of the show” *wait for laughter* *continue drawing*

Well it sounds like you didn’t let that incident dampen your mood about the rest of the con. All I have it say is that some people are really stupid.

Mel Brooks says after someone throws change up on stage while he was doing a set:

“Y’konw, Only one kind of animal throws a cent.”

Then he looks down and says “Wait, that’s real!” before diving down to scoop up the change.

That was a smooth move on his part.

Sorry to hear some guy threw a dime while you were doing a panel. WHY would he do such a thing?

I mean, it makes no sense.

I was there (The guy with the red shirt and black fedora in Hawk’s pictures) and I remember this, kinda. There was a joke going around about throwing stuff and someone goes “If your going to throw anything, throw money”.

*THWACK!*

It wasn’t an act of maliciousness, just temporary stupidity.
