As Hawk mentioned, the last two AG Lites have been his effort entirely. I’ve been really busy with work and some other things lately, so I’m doing my best to keep up. I’ve got to get on the ball this week, so here goes. *rolls up sleeves*
I was out of town for a wedding for the past few days, and I just wanted to take a moment to congratulate my friends Kyle and Jenn for tying the knot. The wedding was beautiful - you guys are going to be very happy together.
I’ve got to get back to work, but I wanted to drop a link to this post on boing-boing.net about a new housing tower going up in Singapore. The architecture and design of it are playful.

Nice tower! I’m sure that design will be useful in a tsunami. :)
Can’t ever imagine seeing something like that here in California. The lawyers would have a field day during an earthquake if the building didn’t survive. As my dad likes to tell me, the Golden Gate Bridge would never be built today because the lawyers would be calling the shots and not the engineers.
Heaven help us all in the Bay Area, if they should decide they want to “renovate” the Golden Gate the way they’re “renovating” the Bay Bridge. :P Although they’re finally making some progress (although I dunno, with the amount of delay, would it count as progress if they’re behind schedule?). There doesn’t seem to be as many lanes as the original. Traffic should be interesting
i live in singapore man. And i’ve never heard about this THING..
i’m guessing its a joke though. Who’d place it anywhere near orchard road anyway. We’re too “we’ve gotta save money” to even put it anywhere near there.
who knows anyway… since they’re building a huge ferris wheel next to the esplanade. -_-
Really? How strange … maybe it’s a fake making the rounds on the internet.
I was in Singapore a few years ago, it’s a beautiful country.
why thank you. It’s a beautiful but boring country. :)
My freind goes there every year and say’s that it’s great. He also say’s that the crime rate is almost zero, besides petty crimes like shoplifting and burglary.
ok…..that’s something you don’t see everywhere.
I hope that tower design is real, and feasable. I know nothing of building design. If it is real, and is feasable then it’s just one more step towards the Jetsons. And you know what that means… ROCKET CARS!
Greetings from Singapore! Well judging from this ‘Welcome to the Spikey Dome of Doom!’ piece of architecture of our Esplanade Theatres On The Bay (which is kinda our version of the Sydney Opera House), the design is not much of a stretch of the imagination. Hehe…
If it’s real… I’d want an apartment on the lowest floor of the highest tower. Why? Because I’d want a glass floor in at least one room so I could just look down through it. ;P I’m betting that it would give one hell of a view. … Thinking my wife wouldn’t appreciate it though.
Yep, that building’s real. It was just in todays papers on the front page. Heh, and to think I was just about to post yesterday that it can’t be real cos if it were, there’d definitely be a fuss over it considering this is Singapore. =)
