I'm fairly certain that, if the RIAA weren't as cut off from the public as it is, the petition wouldn't be necessary in the first place. (I only occasionally listen to GamingFM and I have a Yahoo Music Station that I rarely listen to so I'm not really representative of the people who would be hit by this.) They're only going to end up costing themselves profits in the long run because there won't be anyone willing to pay their prices. It's like upping the cost of a bottle of Coke from $1 to $5. Sure, you might still sell a couple to people who're desperate enough, but selling twenty bottles for $1 beats selling two for $5. What kind of idiots run the RIAA?
