I rather like the story’s turns and their time in Japan was sweet, though I’m curious to see how everything turns out. Jayce is now the dark hero, Hawk’s acting a little touchy with Eve’s new sense of self, etc.

I like what you guys are doing (unlike some people around -.-) but am in hopes the tension camraderie and musing humor which brought a lot of this together will always be there.

One thing I’m not entirely clear with this piece. Is Ninj4 for hire really her?

Hmm…comedies in Maya next? To wonder…

Damn…And I was SO wishing I was gonna see a Eve vs Ping-Chan page. Maybe next time :)

Japan was nice, a tad confusing at times but nice :) I’m actually curious to see how the Gina storyline continues; mostly because I have a secret crush on her! *shhh, don’t tell my fiancee*.

I look forward to having the gang “home” and get back to “normal”. Hawk your art never ceases to amaze, Annath your writing is likewise. Keep it up!

Wow, this comic was an awesome combo of comedy and drama, with them in the plane, but other characters not having complete resolution. What ever happened with the rest of the crew though? We gonna see the rest of Gina’s story? That seemed really cool.

I think I first came to read this from a link off /GU site. I gotta say I am totally hooked now.

The story lines are complex and detailed. The graphics are distinctive and beautiful. The characters have depth and could be ‘real’ in a movie sort of way. (I love Eve.)
I check every day for a new page andam excited to see the progress bar fill with Script, drawing and color. Please keep up the good work and I hope you get some network/movie exec to buy the story so far. (It worked for Over The Hedge, right?)

Was a good story arc, Ananth. I remember when you guys were a little worried about the change in format from a daily one-shot laugh to longer story arcs. I hope you’re confident it was a good change, and continue to expand on the characters and current story.

I got hooked on Applegeeks during the Dark Eve story arc, and it has yet to disappoint me. Ananth, you have an excellent sense of storytelling. Hawk, your art is mindboggling. And I have to say, you guys have found the perfect mix of the gag-a-day and story-arc formats. Keep up the good work!

Doubt with what transpired will really leave them to being normal. Or at least the way things were ‘back in the day’.

It’s always amazing to me that people who don’t make the comic, can have an opinion on how the comic “should” be. I’m in total agreement with the applegeeks lite skit that burned the fan mail. Do it the way you want guys. If people want it done some other way, let them make their own comic (not like that’s going to happen with their lack of…creative writing and drawing ability).

Heh, does anybody know the meaning of that word? It really is a word you should avoid if at all possible. Normal is surrendering to the ordinary, and it should never be done.

Honestly, the art draws me into every page, and the writing keeps me coming back for more. Kudos to both Hawk and Ananth.

I loved the Japan thing, but I’m interested to see what will happen once everything is, as you say, “normal.” However, normal is relative here. :D Keep up the great work!

Ya know, I think Junpei has almost had more comic time here than in MegaTokyo. Well thank Fred for another happy reader as I had no clue what Applegeeks was til the initial crossover.

I kinna thought Gina was just the “violent drunk chick.” And then you started the whole “Gina McQuarrie Street Fighter” schtick on her trip to New York/Boston. Now I want to see more of that. Be nice to see what JC and Alice have been up to as well.

So when are you two printing this in a book format?
I would buy it and put it right next to my MegaTokyo books.

A nice end to the Japan arc. You guys tied this up nicely, Fred likes to tease us with giant cliffhangers and answering some of the plot line questions and leaving more.
Something about Junpei’s l33t ninja hoodie is off, I think it’s because you have the hood drawn up tighter than I’m used to seeing it.
Can’t wait to see how things will go once they get ‘home’.

That was an awesome arc! gj! I personally like the style you guys have right now. I think its a bit too serious to start any antics soon, I mean, look how broken hearted that girl was. I think this has to happen to all webcomics, the may start out random, but they usually end up pretty serious, look at Megatokyo for example. Anyways, keep up the good work guys, I respect and appreciate your work.

“Normal” is a word very easy to explain: “Normal” is the Applegeek’s word standing for “Godzilla”.

I like this comics when it is funny, and I like it too when it is serious, but I really love it when it comes to being “normal”.

hawk had some problems with fighting in japan. i think gina should teach him to fight that way he might be able to avoid alot of the problems they had and it would be kinda awsome combined with his tech.

normal that would be all the other comics you know the ones with unequal boy girl ratios or the nerds with too many girls, or the talking cats and dogs… somehow robots and a weird nerd is normal though

I SAWS AN ANATH AT KATSUCON!!! I thinks…. Also, I always wonder why writers always seem so serious at cons… I mean, Artists usually look like they are about to kill people… but I figure its the constant comision thingie and trying to…. never mind, half the responces I just thought up answered that…. HYPER STILL!
