That’s crazy. In my Art 117 class (3D Design) we are working on planar forms, so for our projects, we are creating designs out of the pages of books. It’s a small world, ah?

Beautiful…I’d probably squish it by accident

The one taken from Donne’s Extasie is beautiful.

I was thinking the same thing. It’s simpler than some of the others, but it’s so simply and tastefully done that I can’t help but keep looking at it.

Yup absolutely. And the combination of the text and the image- wow. The Exstasie’s vision of consummated love- s’all there in what’s basically a very beautiful pair of cutout dolls. Sometimes simple works best, huh?

So cool, but it kind of makes me sad, as a hardcore book lover to see old books, like the Alice in Wonderland all cut up ;_;

Took the words right out of my mouth. Maybe if it was the Tax Code or something, though… :P

Reminds me of this artist I found ’bout a year ago. Really neat. I think I actually saw it on Digg, but don’t remember now. You may like it:

I have a semester project similar to that in my Foundations class… its nice to see how one can expand text beyond the pages. :)
