I was gonna make a comment that it seemed quite warm to me…then I remembered that it’s likely in Farenheit…

Ahh, such a pretty weather applet.

Please tell me I don’t need a mac to get it =)

The google gadgets weather globe just can’t compare. Maybe someone can make a clone =)

PS: If you ever hit the Mongolian BBQ again, let me know. Maybe we can schedule an outing around Katsu…

Well, its a dashboard widget, so I’m not sure. It is the prettiest weather widget I’ve seen. All I can tell you is it says “AccuWeather.com” on the back. Don’t know where you would get a PC equivalent.

Konfabulator is still around and before OSX got widgets I used Konfabulator. They have a version that works for the PC as well.

Also their is a yahoo - weather widget for Konfabulator that looks very much like the one on 10.4.

For the app: http://www.widgetgallery.com/

Yahoo Weather Widget: http://widgets.yahoo.com/yahooweatherwidget/

Good luck… oh and get a Mac! ^_^

Konfabulator might have one, but I agree: Get a Mac! :)

Actually, although it’s pretty, I don’t use it! It’s just a bit too inaccurate….
Of course, that’s what happens when you have just a high/low/primary weather icon - and the weather is rarely consistant and predictable enough this time of year for one icon to apply for an entire 24-hour day!

I need to figure out how to program widgets…. I could create a widget to display the National Weather Service forcast and statements.

If I may say so, that’s pretty fucked up. However, two weeks ago it was +15 and then it went down to -20 plus windchill. Celsius. Now it’s working it’s way back up to spring-like temperatures. I live in Eastern Canada. Hello, global warming.

Getting snowed in was supposed to be one of the “charms” of attending the University of Rochester. They even have underground tunnels just so you can get from one building to the other and, perhaps, not starve whilst buried under ten feet of snow.

We just got our first snow of the year less than two weeks ago. Its a few inches deep, at best. So, um, yeah.

Well…all I can say is that where I live, -11 C (11 F) is actually considered normal, if not a bit to warm for winter :P We get here even around -35 C (-31 F), rarely -40 C (-40 F). But normally it is around -20 to -25 C (-4 to -13 F).But this year has been quite warm, wich is really unusual. Global warming perhaps.

We have also a lot of snow at the moment…around 10-15cm (3.9-5.9 in).

So you have it quite warm there in the US. :) Oh…I live in the north-east part of Europa. In a small country called Estonia.

For the record it’s currently 18F (feels like 9F) here in Ontario.

boy, that sure would be nice. It’s in the thirties here, and it never snows (we have a 40% chance of snow tomorrow, which means it’ll be cold and rainy all day)

I shouldn’t complain, though. It’s only a four to ten degree difference. XD

I live in south TX for a reason - No snow and people bundle like they are going skiing if the temp goes below 50F. And the mention of ice rain or snow shuts some things down. Now I am going to snuggle under my covers and hope to live through this freezing 45F night…….kidding, I have HEAT.

p.s. I pretty much live off of that weather widget, because the temperature goes up and down so quickly around here.

Welcome to Upstate Hawk. Unfortunatly you’re in one of the least snoy areas but that’s ok. You should check out the Golden Snowball Race to see just how much snow NY should be getting. http://goldensnowball.com/

How fuck long have you been in Troy? I went to RPI for four years and would have totally found you and thrown stuff at you if I had known.

NOAA has been saying for like a a half a year now that El Nino would produce this kind of weather this winter and on into the spring. I happens every few years on a simi-regular basis.
