I think it is fair to assume that many of you are already Penny Arcade readers, but for those of you who aren’t - go take a look at their latest offering - it’s a break from their usual fare. They’re doing a Cardboard Tube Samurai story arc, and it’s rather beautifully done. Gabe’s visuals are stunning, often times in their cleanliness and simplicity - which works in some wonderful parallel with the storytelling. It’s enjoyable, to say the least.

It’s not a secret that Tycho has not always spoken well of continuity - nonetheless, I’m going to venture out onto a limb here and say that if he and Gabe were ever to leap headfirst into prolonged continuity and produce a graphic novel with a beginning, middle, and end - then it is a guarantee that I would be first in line to pick it up. Seriously. Get out of my way. I killed a man in Reno, I’m crazy.

Hahaha, they released Part 3 of Street Fighter: The Later Years.

This might very well be my favorite fan adaptation ever … they actually did a really good job! Can’t wait till the next one …

There’s a thread over at Something Awful about a guy who battled a bunch of bees. The pictures and their … uh … extermination method … are pretty crazy.

Great Bee Battle

So last Friday, I mentioned we were going ice-skating to end the week before the holiday weekend. As it turns out, we couldn’t go because of the weather. Ice-skating in the rain didn’t sound like fun. However, bowling did sound like fun. Another activity I never tried before. I really need to get out more. Maybe I should quit Applegeeks and have a social life… just kidding.

I’ll be honest and say I was bit nervous when we got there. It was my first time playing and I was playing with people with more experience than me. All I was thinking about was what if I threw the ball backwards. So the first two tries I got the gutter ball. After I got some pointers from Lani, I started to kick some ass. Oh yeah, I figured out if I wiggle my ass before I throw the ball, I get a strike.

We really had a great time and having fun with the people you work with is always a good thing in my book.
