Bert: I’ve been playing checkers with my pidgeon.
Ernie: You’ve taught a pidgeon to play checkers? Bert, that’s amazing. That must be a really smart pidgeon!
Bert (quietly): She’s not that smart. We’ve played ten games, and she’s only won twice.
