Since Ananth wasn’t able to write a script, I created a simple splash comic for today. It has been a while since I did one anyway.

Mr. Bear as a soft squishy incarnation of Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid?

Brilliant; any chance of a wallpaper version of this? I would proudly sport it :)

Forgive my ignorance, but what is a “splash comic”? Does it mean a single frame like today’s? Once again, please excuse my lack of knowledge; there is so much I don’t know… :(

yes, a splash page is a “single panel” style piece. In print comics splash pages can be just a single page or even both pages of a spread. To be considered splash it needs to be a part of the story, otherwise it’s just an illustration.

You’re a genius, man!
I can’t deny to feel this Splash is a little bit … sick.
Still, it’s unbelievably COOL, as well!
(I WANT THIS MAVERICK. Now. Make it two of them.)
You are one of the greatest talents in the web, keep it up.

Does Ashley have no Thumbs?
Looks a bit off…

Somehow the extraordinary style of the first few Exodus-comics became more simple again… well who can blame you, those looked too good to be legal!! :D

Oh, another thing: How am i supposed to browse through the comic??
Were are the First/Previous/Next/Latest buttons??
Do i have to go to the archive now??

her thumbs are on the other side, however, it does appear she has 6 fingers (or 5 fingers and a thumb) on her left hand…

What is the bigger gun that Mr. Bear is wielding? I know both of Ashley’s guns are mavericks…

Hawk, your art is ace! You know this. But where have the pupils gone? I look at Ashley (or Alice in AG-lite) and I slide deep into the white nothingness of their eyes! Waaah!

You shouldn’t make widescreen splash pages like this if you don’t want people to beg you for wallpaper versions of it :p

I have to say its quite surprising to see bad anatomy in the hands. My first thoughts were that the guns were the new transformers classics megatron but a nerf guy did help design it.

is it not just that she’s manually cocking the pistols with her thumbs, and you’ve captured it just after she’s pulled back both hammers and the thumbs have slipped off ?

regardless - still a kick-ass image
especially like the scary serious expression on Mistah Bear’s face - for an inanimate soft cuddly toy, it’s just plain evil :)

Hope I didn’t come off as a dick; But all through art school we were always quick to point out bad anatomy to each other, because its the first thing people notice. Just trying to look out. Feel like i’ve made an enemy of one of my fav artists.

Anatomy issues aside(honestly, with such an awe-inspiring drawing, who needs thumbs?), this image is completely awesome.

But I’m afraid Ashley is no longer your most badass character. Long live Mr. Bear!

Funny, my friends just purchased both of those NERF guns just last week. The Sniper is good, but the revolvers are a lot of fun to. They’ve been moding them recently for vetter distance and such.
