Ohh man I lost my voice. It was mostly gone Saturday morning, and this fine Sunday morning all I can do is make croaking sounds. My slow transformation into a frog has begun.

There’s a few new posts up at a thousand crows - if you are the reading type, read and let me know what you think. :) Comments are always welcome.

Also, I found Hawk a Halloween costume!

You need a third “w” in your thousand crows link- “http://ww.” just doesnt seem to cut it nowadays. Other than that, I like the depiction of details interwoven with the story, very desciptive and quietly worked in. Overall I say its very well done.

I’ve lost my voice before, it’s not so bad. Write up some “subtitle” cards and use them to answer questions. I don’t mean “yes” and “no”… my personal favourite was “Ah! It’s Godzilla! Run for your lives!” … I’d show it to people when they asked a dumb question, let them read it, and then walk away from them. Great fun at work! ;)

Re: Ananth’s costume suggestion

I think I see your line of reasoning… getting a Mac lover to dress up as an iPoo’d. ;)

Awesome costume! maybe you can make a bigger version, paint him brown and put him in the middle! your revenge would be complete……

It’ll be gone in a few days, Ananth, then your nose’ll be all stuffed, then you’ll choke and cough until your brains almost explode…nothing to worry about :D

When I came to the office, the first thing I told Ananth was to start singing.

Great minds also refuse to sing if the result is caterwauling. But that’d be the case with or without my voice. >.>

No, that’s not the result of a great mind. That’s the result of common sense but you should do it anyways :P

Aw, my voice is gone too. But really, that’s my own fault. Screaming for four hours at a football game with a sore throat.. probably not my brightest idea to date. ^.^;;

Try drinking green tea with lemon, and then another cup with honey. The lemon cuts through any phelgm and the honey coats it over; also there is a product called throatcoat for those lovely emergencies, like a presentation in the middle of being sick ^^. Best of luck getting better, and just be glad you’re not a music major who sings right now :P.

okay heres what you do
dance in a circle, take 5 steps west, bunny hop 6 kilometers east, cross the bridge, defeat the french, and inside you’ll find your voice.

‘Poor little tin man’…. that wouldnt be a reference to Alexisonfire… would it?

Wow, it worked … I’m cured!

And it certainly is a reference to Alexisonfire. I missed their show last week in Baltimore … it was a real bummer.

too bad! i saw them live in Winnipeg. I was so close to Dallas Green that I could have thrown a paper airplane and hit him in the eye. I just about had a seizure it was so good.

nice work, no chance the protagonist’s describtion is a reflection of your own, through a better filter and all :P. That’s how it always seems to wind up in my work. Perhaps if my mind were more rooted in reality…

Too bad to hear about the voice, I guess we won’t be seeing you on American Idol anytime soon. Luckily you don’t need it for your job!

Hawk should wear that costume…it’s his Civic duty! I’d give him candy.
