Ambrosia Software finally released their long-awaited, much-anticipated racing game Redline today. Fans of the Rochester, NY company (such as myself) have been waiting for literally years, with the appropriate amounts of bated breath, of course. We’ll see whether it becomes a smash-hit classic like Escape Velocity or Pop-pop, or if it fades into obscurity like Chiral or Avara.

Hell yes! Big fan of Ambrosia! I’ve tested a few of their games too… Just firing up the credit card to get Redline now!

long time Ambrosia fan here too - always worth trying their products out. and their games usually have something that others don’t
so far though, i wasn’t so impressed with RedLine - it’s kinda pretty, but i was expecting more, and doesn’t seem much sensation of speed - but maybe that’s just the mini that was available in the demo (and i wasn’t playing on arcade mode either)

I dunno. I downloaded Redline, but it didn’t impress me much. The environments are nice and clean, but the car models are pretty bad considering the state of gaming today — very boxy and real-world-inaccurate if you ask me. Maybe I’ve just been spoiled by NFSMW on the Windows box?

As far as racing on my G5 goes, I still prefer RACER by far. Nicer graphics, much more accurate cars, and it’s entirely free.

This section contains tactics …

They are similar because they are sketchy and morally dubious….
