I apologize for the lack of posts lately. For the last couple of days, I have been transferring all my files and installing software onto the new Mac Pro machine.
I can’t say much about it since I haven’t done any hardcore work yet. But soon I will test this baby out when I work on Thursday’s comic.

heh, this should make you happy, when I viewed the page about the ZUNE, at the end of the article, where all the ads were, there was a Mac vs PC ad. heh, made me happy anyway.

Vista (within the OS) has no brown. Its either Glass (transparent), Black (full screen windows) or Gray (no glass enabled).

Though I’m not entirely sure why brown (I think its a bad idea also), maybe they didn’t want to “Copy Apple” with the Black and White iPods?

I actually like the brown–they probably used that color to go with the rising trend of brown-colored things.
this is the third time I don’t know what to make as my required name. anyways, I just wanna say I hate you, I hate you so much because I should have waited to get the mac pro instead of the mac book pro, I should have waited oh well, I’ll just make do with the 3 mac computers I already own and not go for the fourth. macpro looks simply fantastic – i am most envious
and the zune? it’s a stoopid name (like they’re trying to say tune in a naff german accent) and is there no skip forward button? only a skip back one?
The brown isn’t solid. It’s actually coated in thin green plastic imitation enamel, so it the edges fade into this cool neon-like green, and under the light and with your eyes (rather than a camera), it actually looks pretty cool. Can’t say I’d go for brown personally, but it certainly doesn’t have the uncoolness factor that everyone immediately equates to it.

Y’know I was wondering when this was gonna happen. I saw the Doodoopod (lollerskates for that one Hawk), and am still having issues trying to figure out how they expect to get people to buy it when It’s not even going to be able to play video as well as the iPod video, which already has a large userbase due the years of probing by Mac. M$ is seriously going to have issues with this ‘thing’….doodoopod *Hawk FTW*

ok, I am curious I am debating a new laptop. thinking of getting a mac book since im going back to school to get my phd and dont want to lug my gaming pc (a tower) back to the states. Has anyone run the regular mac book through World of Warcraft? I like having seperate video card and this one doesnt. I would like that to be an option, but its not. I could go for the macbook pro, but I like the design of the macbooks better and its size is more mobile. I do, however want to game on it. Will it excel with all the WoW options maxed on it? If not, I guess I will have to wait til they make a mac book pro that looks more like the regular books or books with with a dedicated memory graphics card. Thank you.
Latest Macs (Laptops or whatnot) can run WoW at max settings while downloading the latest season of a teenyBoppy series and render a huge 3D homework for art school…I swear…Saw it done. Although, the thing was pulling so much damn juice that my kitchen lights dimed…I swear to that too!!!

Looking at the Mac you’re going from to the Mac Pro, all the Adobe apps will probably feel faster, but I’ve just had people switch back to a PowerMac G5 because the CS Suite was very unproductive on the Mac Pro. Hopefully they address this sooner, than later.
OK, it’s official, I have found my dream office…. that setup is to die for… (or maybe kill for…) uhm, wait… that was to work for…. yeah, that’s it… keep us posted on how it works…

i dunno about zune thing. i kinda like the background and the large screen and the fact the you can play it kinda like wide screen. other than that GO IPOD

I just got a Mac Pro myself today. A beautiful Quad 3.0 GHz with 2 GBs of RAM. This is especially exciting for me, since this is my first Pro system. Perfect for my music.

I’d like to think that the brown Zune is just a joke, perhaps by a Mac-lover languishing in the depths of Microsoft Hell.
But, then again, I’d like to think that the Red Sox can make this year’s playoffs, and that the President is smarter than he looks on TV, so YMMV.
