When I get the chance, I like to check out YoutTube and look through some of the new videos. Sometime I wish I could just save my favorite videos onto my computer, not as FLV files but as actual movie files. Well, my wish came true when I found TubeSock.
TubeSock is a simple application that allows you to save a YouTube video onto your computer, video iPod or PSP. All you have to do is enter the YouTube url and it will do the rest for you.
In other news, new merchandise in the AG store.

tube socks can be used for other things too
hmm to put over your head and rob a bank right?
You’d never fit one of those over your head…
Salvation! I’ve been looking for a FLV to Whatever converter for the past coupla weeks.
I think I have a tube sock for my iPod…
You know, there’s a couple apps for downloading and converting YouTube videos but I don’t like either of them (TubeSock and PodTube) so I rolled my own. Anyway, I’m just adding the finishing touches on it and it’s going to be donation-ware so if anyone wants a sneak preview, feel free to contact me through my website:

the blog doesnt work in the rss feed anymore. just so ya know. hasnt worked since the wwdc post.
just ordered a hawk/ag shirt. can’t wait to get it. i hope it’s here before the baltimore comic con, so i can wear it.
Awesome! Next paycheck is so going to be getting me some new clothes, and Christmas presents. I’ll trick my non-Mac friend into wearing the Ninja Squirrel shirt…. hehehe…… Subliminal messages are fun!
Well for those who don’t wanna use the trial version “Download the trial version of TubeSock here. (3.4 MB zip) The trial version limits the duration of converted videos to 30 seconds.” and don’t have the savvy to figure a way around it, there is Videodl.org(downloads the vids off youtube) and Isquint that converts the whole thing… YAY!
You guys need to sell the arrow shirt that Alice wears. I want one for my girlfriend!
nuther sweet comic!…
one question do yo uuse the comic life program that now comes with new macs? and what do you think of it?
Yeah, I like the idea of Tubesock… but really, they’re charging for it? I just use a Firefox extension to grab the Flash Video, and then convert it with iSquint- no cash necessary.
Damn // I got all my hopes up that I too could download my fav youtube videos and then I find out its only for Mac users *cries*
-M
mac users FTW
No kidding…like I could ever afford a Mac.
Youtube is addictive! I keep one browser window open to myspace and the other to youtube. I’ve uploaded five of my videos so far. If you want to check them out here’s the link:
