For Tycho and Gabe when I see them at San Diego Comic Con

Connecticon has come and gone, but now that I finally have a particular picture, I wanted to show you guys. George Rohac III was asked to MC the Cosplay Dating game and the Cosplay Masquerade. It was his own pet project, and he decided to go all out. He went to a thrift shop and bought a blue plaid suit jacket, an orange/white/brown polkadot bowtie, and lime green plaid pants. With these, he wore a red shirt, sandals, and he greased back his hair with more hairgel than Hollywood uses in a year. For these two events, he was no longer George Rohac - he was Rasputin Huxtable the Third. I missed the Masquerade, but he test-flew the whole thing during the Cosplay Dating game, and it was hilarious. I can’t wait to see Rasputin host more events. Here’s a picture of me with Mr. Huxtable himself … sadly, most of the pants are cropped out, but you can get a hint of the blinding lime green (THANK YOU to Jes of Machall for the picture!):

I just finished talking to Madsen from Little-Gamers. Christian and Madsen are currently in Washington D.C waiting for their next flight to San Diego.

Wow what a week.

I apologize for the lack of update last week. After Ananth and I got back from Connecticon, I got hit with a lot of work. I have a feeling this week will be another busy week for me as well.

Over the weekend, I did some heavy-duty photoshop work for Fred. I can’t really say much about it right now since it’s not completely done. But I think his readers will really like it …well, I hope they do.

Ananth and I are flying to San Diego this Friday for San Diego ComicCon. This will be our first comic con and our first time in the far west. I have no idea what to expect when we get there. However, Ananth has it all planned out. I think I’ll kick his butt when we get there.

If you want to meet us during SDCC, you can find us hanging around at the MegaTokyo/Megagear booth (and I might try to hijack the Penny Arcade booth because I love those guys too). There’s a small chance we’ll be selling a new item while we’re in San Diego. Here’s a hint, it’s 11.8 in x 28.5 in. ;)

Ooo more Art!

Oh yeah, here’s a shout out to my new friend Christi Johnson.

Hawk and I are getting ready for our trip to Comic Con. We’ll be there Saturday and Sunday, and we’ll be at the Megatokyo booth with Fred. That’s no guarantee, though … there are several colliding forces coming at us at Comic Con, so we may or may not be pulled away from the table. If you do have a spare moment, though, please come by and say hi! Even if we’re not there, I’m sure Fred will be happy to see your smiling mugs.

After that is Otakon. Ye gods, Otakon … as always, this is our busiest con of the year. As with Comic Con, we’ll be at Fred’s Megatokyo/Megagear, but in the DEALER’S ROOM. I’m going to be emphasizing this a lot, because in past years we were found in artist’s alley. Since our merchandise is managed by Sarah and Megagear, however, it makes a lot more sense for us to be in the dealer’s room where the Megagear booth is. So please come see us! We always love meeting you guys. We’re also sure the throng of readers that flock Fred and Sarah’s way will make us feel terribly inadequate by comparison, but we’re hoping to pick up and learn from their experience. That’s right, guys … we’re after your brains. :) *chomp chomp*

Trish and Damien of Novablade Studios have made a hilarious guest comic for us *points up*. To preface, there was a webcomics auction at Connecticon, where congoers could bid on various webcomickers for their time, and for free swag. The proceeds went to charity. Anyway, Hawk ended up winning the auction for Trish, and this is probably a fairly accurate representation of what happened …

Also, we’re officially sort of Myspace whores. Reaaally sorry about that.
