Just want to point out *points up and a little to the right* that we’ve got a con schedule up. As you can see, it’s going to be a busy con season. Possible additions yet to come, but we’ll point them out as they come.

So PVP is one of those comics that I’d always wanted to read - but the archive is just so massive. The task always seemed daunting, because the comic solidly spans a good number of years. Talk about intimidating. My interest got rekindled in the past few weeks when Scott Kurtz and Kristofer Straub put out their Blamination animations (which Shannon and I are still quoting at least twice a week … Is it like juice?). Well, this past weekend, Shannon played a lot of Halo 2 on XBox Live, so I took the opportunity to catch up on PVP. I really liked it. The balance of one-offs and storylines is just my cup of tea, and the art + humor seems to get better and better over time. PVP has been around for so long that my recommendation probably means very little at this point, but if you’ve been on the fence and you need a nudge in the right direction - go check it out. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. (Also, Skull is probably the most lovable character that has appeared in a webcomic anywhere. Period.

Shannon also puts in her two cents on PVP and a few other webcomics in this 1UP blog entry, if you need a second opinion. ;) She also touches on Aesir Corp, which is the comic where everyone hears the concept and goes DAMN, I wish I thought of that. Oh, and she also talks about some lame comic called Applegeeks. >.>
Katsucon is coming up! There’s going to be a Photoshop panel with Hawk and Scott of VGCats … I believe the arrangement is that they’ll go over some basics, and then take requests from the audience - Scott will draw, and Hawk will color. Also, the talented Jamie Noguchi of Angry Zen Master will be on hand to give us his two cents. Scott also has a list of some of the Katsucon webcomics guests listed over on his latest post. The new comic is hilarious too. ;)

Lastly … quite possible the creepiest Photoshop thread I’ve seen in a while: Manipulated photos of people as manga characters

I was really busy this weekend with college work. So I couldn’t work on the actual comic and have it done on time. So I posted a random artwork where I’m EXPERIMENTING with screentones (digital). Remember, I like to experiment with my work. If you don’t like it, though luck.

If you want to look at the progress, you can check it out here.

I better get some sleep, I have Design and Marketing in the morning.

Ever since the semester started, I have been using iCal’s To-Do List to keep track of my homework, readings, quizzes, and any other projects.

But I don’t like having the iCal window on the desktop all the time, I need something on my desktop but not in the way when I work.

So I found a program called Stattoo. The program displays my to-do list and my daily schedule from iCal. With a simple drag and drop, I can have Stattoo display other info like the weather and recent e-mail.
