EDIT: Please, if you have any thoughts, post them in this thread! Feedback is appreciated.
So this week, we’ve got a little something extra for you (it’s because we love you). You guys might remember a while back that we did a short for the Disposable Parts anthology titled Seven. Well, today we’re proud to launch The nPage Project. The first installment there is Seven, but there will be more to come. To sum it up simply, The nPage Project is a place for Hawk and I to flex creatively and create non-AG work. Seven is available on the web and in PDF format … we hope you enjoy it!
Also, just to reassure you guys … we haven’t forgotten about the Urge contest. We’re in the process of choosing 5 entries for you guys to vote on … things just get hectic around here, you know how it is. ^_^;
Actually pretty tired this morning, so I’ll keep my report short and sweet.
Magfest was fun. It was definitely an entirely different experience than an anime convention. The game room was a blast … Hawk, Katy, Dave, and myself beat the Ninja Turtles arcade game. I played Dave in some Marvel vs. Capcom, and then I failed gloriously at MarioKart. Sadly, I didn’t get any playtime on the Halo machines, something which I will probably regret for a few weeks … where else do you get 12 person matches so readily?
People of the weekend were Hawk, Katy, Shannon, Dave, and Beth. We met the cats from Hookie Dookie Panic, and they were pretty cool. Our panel turned into a big Apples to Apples game. Quick shout-out to Bronson, who bravely battled his camera till it worked, and Mike, who Shannon entered with into the 2vs2 Halo Tourney. Both cool kids. What else, what else. I’ll just link to some odd videos of japanese shows.
Toei Supaidaman (Japanese Spiderman)
Super wierd, random Sailor Moon attack animation … sometimes I wonder if the people who write these shows are fully cognizant of the english words they’re using …
Issue 243 is finished and up. I could have finished the comic earlier but I overslept this morning since I didn’t have to go to work today.
MAGFest was okay. It was my very first gaming convention, so I went there not knowing what to expect. Honestly, I like anime conventions a lot more than gaming conventions. Maybe if I was a gamer, I would have enjoyed the convention a lot more.
We weren’t the only webcomic that showed up to the convention. Dave from Paradox-Lost was there and so was the creators of Hookie Dookie Panic. The Hookie Dookie folks gave us free Ninja Jesus t-shirts. Thanks! They were cool, hope to see them at other conventions.
I took some pictures while I was over there, you can check them out under my Flickr account. Speaking of Flickr, if you have a “Pro” account, what are your thoughts about it? I know you get 2gigs of space if you pay, but if you decide not to pay for another year, what happens to all your photos?
Our next con will be Katsucon, which is coming up next month. Most likely I’ll be giving another Photoshop panel. So register and see you there.
By the way, remember the cards I colored for Penny Arcade? They’re coming out soon!
*bounces*
Update: I’ll be posting the color version later tonight. Thank you for your patience.
We’re back from MAGFest and I’m really tired. I’m going to unpack and get some sleep. Then I’m going to start on the next comic. I’m thinking the comic will up by the end of Monday. Ananth will post a con report when he gets the chance.
I guess the title says it all. But if you really have to look at Window Media files, check out Flip4Mac. Flip4Mac allows you to play Window Media files in your QuickTime Player.
First it was Mac Internet Explorer and now Windows Media Player. Any bets on what’s next? MSN (sucks, I recommend Adium) ? Office (sucks, I recommend pencil and paper)?
Oh yeah, Ananth and I will be at MagFest this weekend. If you’re in the neighborhood, feel free to stop by and say “I love Macs”. But not so loud, it’s a gaming convention after all ;) We will get to the convention Friday night. I believe we have a panel on Saturday, I’m not sure. Anyway, see you there.
One more thing. Green Glowing Pigs. Oink Oink.
