Gah, so late…..better get some sleep.
It’s the weekend. My brother came in Thursdaynight and left Saturday afternoon. He brought abunch of movies, so I watched Day AfterTomorrow and Man on Fire on Fridaynight. Day After Tomorrow is terrible …some of the visual concepts are exciting if youmake them look cooler in your head (like the boatsailing through a flooded NY), but for the mostpart it’s just … not great.
The other movie I saw was Man on Fire, andas always, Denzel Washington delivers. It’s a goodmovie. ^_^ Bit on the gory side. Oh, and thelittle girl from I am Sam is in it, and tome she’s really a prodigy of an actress for herage. The first half of the movie is good drama, and the second half of the movie is where DenzelWashington totally flips out. It’ssweet.
Well, back to work.
Wow what a morning!
First let me say, this is the best cameo I have seen in a long time.
Now about my morning, for starters I woke up late. Yeah I know, I need to stop going to bed so late. So this morning I had to meet up with Ananth on campus so I could turn in a portfolio. I’m trying to get into a Design program, which allows me to take certain courses for next semester. Ananth is already in the Design program so he knew where to go and what to do, I’m just a lost bird following him. When I got there, I didn’t have the form nor did I have my transcript….stupid me. BUT! A nice lady in the office allowed me to use her computer to print out my transcript, but it was a nice lady with a stupid PC computer. However, I manage to print it out and turn everything in. Yay!
Since all of that was done, thanks Ananth for all your help, I had to head to work. So I took the campus shuttle bus to the nearest metro station. I got there and waited for the train. While I was waiting, which turns out to be a very long time, my bro called me..he was stuck on the metro. Apparently there was a major delay on the tracks. Great. So I waited for a ride and headed home. Luckily I can work from home.
One last thing, today is the last day to order something from the store. After today, the store will be closed for good.
Now I have to work…. *grumble*
Here is the sketch for Applegeeks Issue 142 “booting”. I did the whole sketch yesterday while hanging out with Ananth after class. Yeah, I was influenced by Ghost In The Shell 2 and Battle Angel Alita. Since Ananth had a paper due this week, I told him not to worry about writing a script, so that gave me the chance to be creative with the soon to be mac girl.
… tough to escape them these days. And whyshould we? Thematically speaking, the Japanese areway ahead of the curve when it comes to exploringpossibilities. The work they produce is far moreinteresting, especially in terms of animation. Noneed to be scared of that.
That said, today’s comic turned out real nice,Hawk. ^_^ I got to watch him sketch it while wewere hanging out, and it was pretty cool to watchhim build it up. I like the fact that the colorjob is so simple and clean. Oh, and letting thecables get blurry as they rise closer to yourperipheral vision was a great touch. Nice work, man. ^_^
Oh, and just to be clear, this is the Mac girlthat Hawk is slowly building.
Thanks for reading! Er … looking … uh …visiting … you know.
sleeep….rant later….sleep good….
The reason we had Jayce constantly asking Hawk toeat last year during Ramadan was because in reallife, I just always forgot and asked Hawk. Well, apparently it’s a year later and nothing haschanged … I asked him if he wanted to go getlunch while we were hanging out. Well, I went todo the dishes after that, and when I came back hehad drawn this on my computer, in Painter 8:
