Hope you guys watched the debates … theBush/Gore debates were a joke, but the debates forthis election are going to be very very important.I’m not just talking to our American readerseither, although ultimately it’s their vote on thematter … but the outcome of this election willaffect foreign policy for years to come.

One funny moment was towards the end of thedebates … Lehrer (the moderator) would allow thecandidates 30 second rebuttals from time to time.Near the end he stopped giving those (I assume dueto time constraints), so the candidates statedtheir rebuttals to the previous question duringthe time alloted for the next question.

I dunno, maybe I’m the only one who finds thatfunny. I just talked to my dad, and he says theydo it all the time … that’s what I get forskipping out on most of the Bush/Gore debates, Iguess.
