One of the other guys who lives in my apartment,Rob, and his friend George, played Doom III onMonday. And Tuesday. Rob is a hardcore gamer. Robmay very well define the term “hardcore”. Heplayed through Doom III in 16 hours. One sitting.The man never got up for anything.

I woke up early Tuesday morning around 7 AM, andwalked out of my room to hear the sound of gunfirespitting across an empty corridor. Intrigued, Iwandered closer, and found Rob staring intently athis enormous monitor, mowing down creatures fromthe pit. I periodically dropped back in to checkout the game and see how they were doing.Observations that I made without playing the gameare observations that have already been stated:it’s repetitive, and dark. Very dark. Not scarydark, but “goddamn I wish I could just tape thisflashlight to my gun” dark.

I’ll have before and after pictures of him upsoon, I hope. I figured it was the sort of thing Ishould properly document.

Ok, here are some new wallpapers. I’m hoping this will get people to stop bugging me.

Each wallpaper is 1600 x 1200 pixels, I really didn’t have time to create different sizes (ie 1024 x 768). If you need a smaller version, you can easily resize the wallpaper with any graphic program (ie Photoshop).

While I was at Otakon, I got the chance to meet Scott Ramsoomair (vgcats.com) in person. First off, let me say I’m a big fan of vgcats, even though he doesn’t believe me. Scott gave me a vgcats sketch right before I left Otakon. In return I thought I would color the sketch and give it back to him. I hope he likes it. While I was coloring the sketch, I created a progress sheet. The image below shows a start to finish of Issue 122. Enjoy.

Look, uh … some of the threads are getting outtahand. I’m not going to come out and name the onewe just deleted, because … well, when Mac Hall talkedabout … youknow … they got a bunch of hits just becauseit showed up in their rant.

So.

Stop making innapropriate thread topics. There’sobviously other, more appropriate forums for someof the topics that showed up. Go frolic there, ifyou like.

This isn’t us being judgemental on whoever madethe thread - but we’ve got some younger readers,and some of those younger readers hang out in theforum. So … sorry dudes, you gotta take itsomewhere else.

Ever since I got back from Otakon, I wasn’t able to get any rest. After Otakon, I had couple papers to write and I had to go to class. Plus there was work I had to do around the house. I’m so freakin tired right now. I’m really behind the comic, it’s 12:15am and I’m still inking the first panel…most likely I will not finish it on time and will post it on friday morning. sorry.
