We’ve been getting a lot of e-mails about ideasfor posters. Thanks, but we can’t do anything withthem right now. Everything for Otakon is alreadywith the printing press, so it’s too late. Pleasedon’t send us more ideas! We appreciate the help, but we can’t do anything with them at the moment.
I had an interesting conversation w/ some friendsabout whether comics art can be considered art.Beats me. Comics artists, however, are highly skilled, regardless of what they produce.
The rationale is simple. These people have tobe able to draw *everything*. People, cars, buildings, animals, fruit in bowls - everything. And all that stuff - they need to draw it from allsides. Perspective, that’s it. That’s a hugewealth of knowledge.
I got some flak for not answering the initialquestion, which was whether or not comics is art. It’s not an argument I want to make. To say thatcomics fall under the umbrella term that is art,we’d first have to agree on what exactly art is.And that’s just not fucking happening.
