A reader recently received an e-mail that spoofedHawk’s e-mail in the “from” line … it carried anattachment that was a worm. The reader’s computeris now infected. >_
If you guys get e-mails from any of us, pleasetake extra care in opening any attachments theyhave. This is really a more general rule tofollow, for PC/Windows users. I never open anyattachments from an e-mail I didn’t expect to get.If the e-mail looked legit, I still e-mail theperson back and ask them if they sent anattachment.

So watch out for e-mails from people familiar andunfamiliar. Learn to recognize what virus e-mailslook like … they usually follow a very veryspecific format, although the exact contentchanges from e-mail to e-mail. In addition, theattachment will always be the same filesize - soif you get a bunch of 31K attachments, chances areyou should just trash them.

Anyway, this is just a heads up! We all hatecomputer troubles.
