Guh … it’s 3 in the morning?! Impossible!

If, for some RANDOM reason, you were planning on e-mailing me something with an attachment - don’t. Wait on it. I’m deleting anything and everything that shows up as an attachment immediately. Viruses cause you to make rash decisions like that.

DEAR SIR,

WE WOULD LIKE TO DEVELOP BUSINESS RELATIONS WITH YOU BY ESTABLISHING A TRUST AGREEMENT WHEREBY YOU SHALL HOLD, MANAGE INVEST AND DISTRIBUTE ALL ASSESTS RECEIVED FROM US IN … blah blah BLAH.

Okay, okay … so the e-mails about the Nicaraguan princess who needed to be rescued so that I might take a share of the secret cache of money that she had hidden away didn’t work … I AM a tricky fellow, it takes more than that to pull a fast one on me.

BUT OH MY GOD YOU CAPITALIZED IT ALL! TO PUT EMPHASIS ON THE URGENCY OF MY REPLY! SUDDENLY I UNDERSTAND YOUR DIRE NEED FOR MY COOPERATION! HOLY SHIT I’M GOING TO GO REPLY TO THEM RIGHT NOW! TO TAKE HOLD OF THEIR ASSESTS! WAIT, WHAT’S THAT?! THE MESSAGE WAS SO IMPORTANT AND URGENT THAT YOU COULDN’T USE A FUCKING SPELLCHECK?!

DEAR LORD SO STUPID

… so I just finished reading through the last volume of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman. Em did me a great favor by passing these books my way, so to her a heartfelt thanks.

There’s a lot to say, and I don’t want to say it - don’t want to give anything away. For anyone who hasn’t read it yet, go out and read it - buy them. They’re steep, but absolutely one hundred percent worth it.

Okay … I give, just a few words. The final Sandman story details a series of meetings between William Shakespeare and Dream, and at their last encounter, Dream says, “I am Prince of Stories, Will; but I have no story of my own. Nor shall I ever.” That was a nice touch, and the sort of cleverness that made the whole series of stories such a delight to read. Finishing off the whole thing, though, makes you think a little: people are immortalised through stories, and it is good to be remembered, to have your name printed in textbooks and brought up during hour-long documentaries on the history channel.

Personally? Personally … even if my name disappears the day I die, if my stories are remembered then that’s enough.

So, two days later, and I’m finally home.

Helped my friends move into their apartment - it looks like it’s going to be pretty tight. Funny thing about gamers moving in … bed is set up but no sheets on it, everything is in boxes, the kitchen is devoid of anything, and both of them are working furiously at setting up the entertainment center. I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty sure we had our priorities straight with that one. In the end, Em and I played SNK vs. Capcom - yeah, she kicked my ass. LAUGH ABOUT IT.

Day two: We go back to Idd’s house to move the couch and the subwoofer. Mind you, this subwoofer is legendary - he and his father built it out of an end table, so this thing is ENORMOUS (as subs go). It doubled as a table for a lamp - when you watch the Matrix lobby gunfight, the couch rumbles. I can’t emphasize the sweetness. Uhm, lost my way here … oh! So we were moving the sub out, and I threw my back out. >_Third Fret’s last show ever. They gave out free copies of their last album at the end of the show - how cool is that shit? Head back to the apartment to find Em playing Altered Beast … it’s a classic Genesis game, and it’s also crappy. Me and Fil end the night with a round of Turtles in Time for the SNES (TMNT IV, if memory serves right), and then we all get some chocolate mousse that Em made. It was pretty damned good, and I find myself a bit wired as a result.

Anyway, s’good to be home, I guess … just wish my back didn’t hurt so damn much.

My personal site will be up and running in the near future.

In other news, I’m finally playing Dot Hack … I’m at the part where you’re supposed to meet Mia to discuss the bracelet, but the field’s monsters are too hard. Am I missing something (i.e. am I actually allowed to bring a party?), or do I just need to level for a while?

Wheeeeeee! We got our very first guest comic strip, and it’s by Pontus Madsen (Little Gamers). This guy is the king of copy and paste, but this time he decided to show off his mad drawing/coloring skills. Thank you Madsen, you rock man.

I know I said I was going to post the comic I was working on earlier, but I had to pimp Madsen’s art first. Also I never got the chance to finish coloring it, Madsen and I were showing off with the webcams. We actually gave the world wide web the middle finger. kick ass!
